A big THANKS to Sponge13 for posting the various tournament seedings… ;D YES. As TRUE VOLLEYBALL FANS, we must predict ALL the matches throughout the country, heading toward the Final Four. Please make your selections of WHO will win the match, AND games played. Since this is a brand NEW T.V.P. (Top Volleyball Prognosticator) Contest, EVERYONE is invited to participate, and EVERYONE starts off fresh with a clean slate. This contest will cover the various tournament matches each week, and finally…the FINAL FOUR. ;D THE PRIZE: The main prize is to be CROWNED TOP VOLLEYBALL PROGNOSTIGATOR in the country, with all its prestige, power and influence…to walk down the street and having everyone point to you saying,” there goes the BEST VOLLEYBALL FAN around…so what’s with the Hawaiian shirt?” Yes. The WINNER will receive one of vbcrusin’s Californian/Hawaiian shirts as a symbol of your elevated T.V.P. status. Imagine walking downtown Chicago, New York, through the Mid West farmlands(watch out for those cow chips), or wherever, in your bright & flashy Californian/Hawaiian shirt…you’ll be the envy of all! BUT first you have to beat everyone else…including vbcrusin. So you have to ask yourself,” Do you feel lucky?” Please post your picks immediately before the first April 15th match…<br> Rules: You must enter EACH WEEK starting this week and predict all matches & games played posted (quarterfinals, semifinals and finals) to be eligible. GOOD LUCK TO ALL. This will be hard, aside from the bigger schools, I know next to Nothing about Volleyball played outside of the MPSF. Crusin' since you already have a Shirt waiting for me, I need not be rewarded with a prize for this contest, just knowing that I out prognosticated everyone else will be reward enough.

Here is the stab from me. EIVA Tournament -Hey... who are these guys? I haven't read anything about them here!! I may have to resort to my $1 approach (Price is Right Showcase Showdown). Play-in: April 15 #9 Southampton vs. #8 Vassar …Southampton in 5 28-30, 26-30, 33-31, 30-21, 15-12). Quarterfinals * April 19 Play-in Winner at #1 Penn State (23-5)…Penn State in 3. (30-25, 30-24, 30-24) Previously hard fought 5 game battle for pride only. #7 Springfield at #2 George Mason …Mason in 3 (30-25, 30-22, 30-28) #6 Concordia at #3 Rutgers-Newark…Rutgers in 4. (30-18, 30-25, 28-30, 30-21) -- Is it Bookum thats a fan of this team? #5 Princeton at #4 Juniata…Princeton in 5 (28-30, 30-27, 30-26, 27-30, 15-13). -- Sorry, never heard of this J school, can't vote for them. Besides, there is a place called Princeton not too far from here, just down the road from Harvard, Idaho. MIVA Tournament - MIVA is a conference? I thought it was a team all this time. Quarterfinals #8 Mercyhurst at #1 Lewis …Lewis in 3. (EASY 3! 30-18, 30-21, 30-20) #7 Findlay at #2 Loyola-Chicago…Loyola in 3. (30-24, 30-22, 30-28) #6 Quincy at #3 Ball State…Ball State in 4 (26-30, 30-28, 30-28, 30-27) #5 IPFW at #4 Ohio State…Ohio State in 5. (28-30, 32-30, 28-30. 32-30, 17-15) MPSF Tournament Quarterfinals * April 19 #8 Long Beach State at #1 Pepperdine…Pep in 3. (30-27, 30-23, 30-19) #7 Cal St. Northridge at #2 BYU…BYU in 4. (30-28, 30-24, 27-30, 30-26) #6 Pacific at #3 Hawai'i …Hawai'i in 3 (32-30, 30-27, 30-28). #5 UC Irvine at #4 Stanford…UC Irvine in 5. (30-28, 27-30, 30-25, 19-30, 15-10) How's that stack up? I didn't predict a split. Of course, if there is a tie with me and someone, my points Predicted will make me win .

Aack...The whole nation? I only keep up with the MPSF stats. Oh well...here goes nothing EIVA Tournament: Play-in: April 15 #9 Southampton (14-9) at #8 Vassar (16-5) Vassar in 5 Quarterfinals * April 19 Play-in Winner at #1 Penn State (23-5) Penn State in 3 #7 Springfield (22-7) at #2 George Mason (14-9) Mason in 4 (isn't Springfield a D3 school? Or am I confusing it with another school? I thought Springfield won the D3 national title or something like that) #6 Concordia (10-17) at #3 Rutgers-Newark (14-11) Rutgers in 4 #5 Princeton (15-10) at #4 Juniata (17-8) Juniata in 5 (Isn't this also a D3 school? It is the one that came in second in the D3 national title right?) MIVA Tournament Quarterfinals #8 Mercyhurst (9-19) at #1 Lewis (24-5), April 18 Lewis in 3 #7 Findlay (12-17) at #2 Loyola-Chicago (17-7), April 19 Loyola in 3 #6 Quincy (9-15) at #3 Ball State (18-8), April 19 Ball State in 4 #5 IPFW (14-9) at #4 Ohio State (16-11), April 19 Ohio State in 5 MPSF Tournament Quarterfinals * April 19 #8 Long Beach State (17-12) at #1 Pepperdine (22-4) Waves in 4 #7 Cal St. Northridge (18-11) at #2 BYU (19-6) Cougars in 4 #6 Pacific (18-13) at #3 Hawai'i (23-5) Warriors in 3 #5 UC Irvine (19-10) at #4 Stanford (17-11) Cardinals in 5 (hmm...Pelzel vs. Toppel) Let me know if I need to give the points in each match also. So D3 schools can make it to the Final Four if they win the conference tournament although they already have their own championships? (This is based on the assumption that Juanita and Springfield are D3 schools.) Anyway...good luck everyone Hawaii repeat champions!!!

MPSF - SECOND SEASON NOW BEGINS
PEPP OVER THE BEACH - 3-0 The Waves has refocused from the BYU game. The Beach is no match physically and mentally to the Waves. Pep womens volleyball players will be all over Wooten and Lee on the sidelines.
BYU OVER CSNU 3-0 In ancient times its called "Feeding the Christians (Non Mormons) to the Lions (or Courgars) in the Coliseum (Smith Fieldhouse). I hope the Madators say their prayers before the game, they'll need it.
HAWAII OVER PACIFIC 3-1. Warriors played a soft schedule the past three weeks - they need to step it up. Thomas has back spasms, but should be back. Warriors need to focus and start serving tough again. Their serving should carry them far.
STANFORD OVER UCI 3-2. This is the Best Match of the Week. Toppel vs. Pelzel - Toppel wins and so does the Cardinal.

Hey Fans...there is volleyball OUTSIDE the MPSF, sooooooo...YES. I require predictions on the EIVA and MIVA as well. You ONLY need to post the match winners, AND how many games played. THE SCORES ARE NOT REQUIRED. Good Luck... Now a few comments to the few: Hey Barefoot...don't be too sure about winning one of my shirts...Hawaii has to beat Pep in the FINAL 4 remember? (Provided that Hawaii makes it there?) I'll let you know where you can send me my T-Leaf grass skirt when I win. Hey Eater...there is GREAT volleyball outside of the Irvine, California limits. Check out these other teams in the MIVA & EIVA...pretty good players/teams there. ;D Hey vbfan4life (Drew)...let's see how well you do outside the MPSF. Good luck. Hey IdahoBoy...you did predict a split with Pep & BYU, and you would have won last week with 12 out of 13 matches...HOWEVER, you chose the WRONG nights. Sorry...

I'm gonna laugh when Pacific flies over to Hawaii and beats them.
The Tigers didnt do so well this week because both their middles were out sick/injured.
They are ready to rock, and they love to play in the Stan Sheriff Center.

You ONLY need to post the match winners, AND how many games played. THE SCORES ARE NOT REQUIRED. Good Luck... Hey IdahoBoy...you did predict a split with Pep & BYU, and you would have won last week with 12 out of 13 matches...HOWEVER, you chose the WRONG nights. Sorry... Woulda, coulda, shoulda, didn't, damnit, oh well. Ok, I'm over it. I can reference an Aesop's fable re: sour grapes in saying that your Hawaiian/Californian Aloha shirts probably wouldn't fit me anyways Just as long as everyone knows who the RIGHTFUL winner was last week! How many others picked that split? Hmmm... I could use a banana split about now. I put the scores in the original post because I wanted to make absolutely sure I had ALL the information I'll need when I claim 1st place this upcoming TVP contest... I don't think I can live through any more technicalities Hee hee.
