is there radio silence on Brandeis? It has been open since late April. IMO hat job is a good one especially in that region but the UAA can be a deathmarch at times.

And it safe to assume that Cumberland with the lateness of the opening plus the assistant of five years who is a local and an alum is just a foregone conclusion? I would think so.

Actually, they are aggressively reaching out to connections for viable candidates and are making it clear they are working quickly. Not saying she is not one of the candidates, but AD has been on the phone talking to DI contacts trying to narrow the field.

It's going to be the best press release with the classic...Here's what they are saying about Coach XYZ. So it will appear to be a really good choice. But i guess until there are AD'S who really know the sport they are hiring..what other method is there? Hence another danger of AD'S getting hired who are business majors and having never coached or been athletes.

And right below that was Southern Maine re opened. How about you make the spot full time? Instead of doing the bare minimum. You are telling me the extra 1 or 2 kids they could recruit wouldnt make up the difference in labor cost to making it full time?

But then you have to hire a sports info person--or a compliance person. And they would need to be full time also....which means retirement benefits and dealing with Obamacare/mandatory health care stuff. A lot of places won't deal with those things.

Anyone know anything about the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia? Funding level, number of assistants etc? Asking for a friend. Outside of the obvious: its one of the CACC's original teams. NOT EACTLY sure about the funding, but the position is part-time. Not a huge recruiting budget and its in good section of Philadelphia that is a historic area. Nice campus too. That is the best I can tell you.
