Looks like Chicago State is moving forward after all. Emails went out today to 6(?) candidates requesting time for phone interview.
Interim 1st assistant (Jake) is no longer on staff page. Did he move on?

Inexperienced....enthusiastic just to get the job and won't know enough to rock the boat. Understands NE volleyball....ok with mediocrity in a sport that isn't important to that region I know that a former Big East head coach applied and got nil response. |

Chicago State has conducted phone interviews and will move quickly. Week of July 4th is out of play, but look for on-campus visits and hire to happen before Aug 1.

They wanted to "move in a different direction" and they end up hiring the guy that was the assistant there for 3 of the last four seasons. They fired their coach because they wanted somebody with DI experience of some sort and Coach Mock didn't have that. Forget the fact that she was extremely successful at ACU. Now that Coach Bibler has been at a DI school for one year, he is perfect for the job! I wish him the best, but the thought process here by the ACU administration has been nuts! |
