MY APOLOGIES... On an earlier post, I questioned WHY BYU's setter, Carlos Moreno, beat out UH's Kimo and LB's Hildebrand for the 2nd Team All MPSF Conference, since his stats (12th in assists) weren't as good as 1st & 2nd. Tonight against Hawaii, he was awesome and lived up to his ranking. So I'll EAT MY WORDS, Gang...many times, the stats do not give the true picture of the value of a player to his team. He is a great player (and ONLY a sophomore? ) It just goes to prove that you can't predict a win or loss just by the paper stats. Incidentally, I still think that Kimo Tuyay is a good setter, but Carlos was better tonight. I congratulate all these fantastic volleyball players...they're definitely fun to watch their capable play. Good luck to my teams...Pepperdine & BYU.
