Who are we most likely to land for the 2026 class when recruiting officially opens up in a couple of weeks? Who are the primary targets? Ayanna Watson- OH Henley Anderson- OH Gabby Divita- OH Halle Thompson- OH Jayden Robinson- OH Keoni Williams- MB are among the names I'd expect to hear something from. Thank you.

Who is their number 1,2,3 and so on ? We will know in a week or so. Last year they offered Teraya Sigler first at outside and she went on to kill it last summer and in U19 and is now one of the top few players in her class. Trust Cook, Jaylen and company to identify the talent. It will be interesting to see who they offer because several are from Texas and will be looking at the horns too.

Several of the top recruits are from TX, which is always the case. NE WVB fans are waiting with interest to see who gets scholarship offers. It's what NE WVB fans do this time of year. References to Sigler, a 2025 recruit are true. She was always a highly ranked recruit, and it seems to me she did move up some after she committed to NE. Her ability to play 6 rotations added to her ranking IMO. I also trust the NE recruiting staff to get the job done. Recruit rankings can be deceptive.

This statement is a bit of a hindsight view. Nebraska had a call with Spears and Mullen right after June 15th. Both expressed a desire to take visits and have a longer process as is their choice. Given that, no formal 'offer' was extended. It would have been if they made it to campus for an official visit as that 'hammer' to close the deal. It would have been if they didn't say they were waiting until August to start the process. So technically yes, Sigler may have been the first offer at OH but that doesn't mean that they go down the line offering 1, then 2, then 3 in some sort of cadence. As with all recruiting, it just kinda goes by feel and those conversations they have on the 15th.

As with all recruiting, it just kinda goes by feel and those conversations they have on the 15th. I would imagine there is tremendous pressure going both ways. Good players want to play at a good school, and good coaches want to fill their roster with good players. I can imagine a scenario where a coach would make a call on June 15th to 2 or 3 players at a certain position and tell them that there is 1 scholarship available for their position and the first one to say yes gets it. That puts pressure on the player to say yes right away. On the other hand, if a coach holds a scholarship for a player that is on the fence and waiting to make a decision, what happens if that player tells him no? That coach might miss out on other good players that might have said yes but instead chose to go to another school because they didn't want to wait. One odd thing to me in the recruiting process is that players can talk to coaches and commit as early as June 15th, but they can't take official campus visits until August or September of that year. In my opinion, the order of those two things should be reversed. Players should be allowed to talk to coaches and take campus visits in June, but not allowed to commit until later in that same year. Maybe that is just me.

Maybe that is just me. Many coaches do employ the urgency/scarcity tactic. It works to varying degrees depending on the coach's leverage (e.g. how desirable of a program do they represent?). Most of the quickest commits come from players that are already sure about which program they want to join and the June 15th phone call is only a closing call. Holding scholarships isn't as risky as before due to the transfer portal. Agree, but most of the players that commit before an OV have already visited the program unofficially (sometimes multiple times) and have built relationships with the coaches via camps.

June 15th is coming. Who do you want to commit the most? Want? Henley Anderson for all the mess it would make on this board and she’s the best OH in the class. Need? Keoni Williams. But I’ll be very happy if Ayanna Watson commits.

Do we not want Halle Thompson? She's a great player and as good as anyone not named Henley. I just get the impression that she's behind/equal to a couple others that are also high on the Huskers. I have no idea how high Nebraska is on her list so if she's all in and would be ready to commit this weekend... maybe that's how it works out.

Henley isn't the best left pin prospect. Who is in your opinion? I think they're talking about Ayanna Watson.
