Really? So how much is each Nebraska volleyball player receiving in NIL payments? As you know, nobody really knows. There is apparently $500k per year in the collective, which if even would be about 40k each. But if some of that is used to give a 13th scholarship equivalent, or to retain a top player, then less is available. The top starters can of course do much better Than that with their own deals, but that is very unknown. The "1890 Iniative" has $500,000 per year for WVB. I think players can pursue additional NIL opportunities. Marketing their celebrity, and marketing is part of business. Dovetails well for a business major. Wage is relative. $100k in Lincoln is probably equivalent to $500 in NYC. For a Scholarship athlete, it's all gravy. |

It’s probably more like 100k to 250k and that would be for actually living in manhattan, not the other boroughs. Since the only manhattan borough d1 volleyball team is Columbia and they don’t have athletic scholarships, we can safely move on from Lincoln — NYC comparisons. |

There doesn’t appear to be an in state scholarship player in the 26 cycle. MB and OH are the priorities. Boesinger next year as a setter is on the radar but so are several other highly regarded 2027 setters.

I would imagine Huskers go after them and then work from there ? I actually don’t think Nebraska has had an instate focus recently. Only one underclassman on the roster from Nebraska, and one more coming in 2025. They’re focusing way more on the state of Texas (for good reason). But following the camps is usually the best way to track targets, and jw pretty much covered it. Although Thompson and Robinson’s Houston Skyline teammate Lacy Tinnell could be added one tier below Dallas Skyline’s Williams at MB. |
