The huskers are going to need to NAIL an ELITE setter for this 2015-2017 group. Hunter Atherton, does anyone have vid on her? I'm excited to see her play. Here's a link of Hunter's team playing in the Mideast Power League. They are in the orange. I have seen Hunter play and she's a great setter and very athletic. At times I've seen her team run a 6-2 and can hit very well.

There has been much excitement and anticipation for all the Huskers middle recruits in the past few years and look where we are. My club friends indicate the recent commit is much like the current middles. Time will tell. Fitzmorris appears to be leveling off, but will still be a quality "get" for those 8-10 schools still in contention.

Keil looks to be on her way to All American Status down the road! I think this Kira Larsen looks amazing too, according to those video's posted from their matches in China. I was overly impressed compared to their situation last year. I attribute lots of that to their setting with Kelly Hunter tho. She ran a nice offense, something I didn't see efficient for the huskers last season. Last season it was all about the Left OH's. Hurt them down the stretch.

Huskers get big recruit with local connectionsDidn't see this mentioned in this thread yet: 16 hours ago • By BRENT C. WAGNER / Lincoln Journal Star It was hard to tell who was more excited, the newest Nebraska volleyball recruit, Lauren Stivrins, or her extended family. “It’s equal, let me tell you,” Stivrins said late Wednesday in a phone interview, shortly after giving NU coach John Cook the news that she was going to accept NU's scholarship offer. Cook is on vacation, but was happy to take the call. Stivrins is from Scottsdale, Ariz., but has several ties to Nebraska. Her dad, Alex, was a basketball standout at Lincoln East, before a college career at Creighton and Colorado. He was playing professionally in Spain when he met his wife, Claire, who is from England. Lauren Stivrins' grandma, Opal, is a NU volleyball season-ticket holder. So is her uncle, Tim Stivrins, a doctor in Lincoln. Her godparents live in Omaha and are season-ticket holders. Stivrins is a promising recruit for the Husker program. She’s already about 6-foot-4 heading into her junior season in high school, and will play middle blocker in college. She joins an already talented 2016 class that includes outside hitter Molly Haggerty from Chicago, setter Hunter Atherton from Ohio and middle blocker Sarah Allick from Lincoln North Star. Stivrins chose Nebraska over USC and UCLA. does anyone have any inside on Fitzmorris' decision yet? Can we just hang it out there already? I'm about to drive over to her house and tell her to make her decision already! ))) I have seen her play quite a bit, and she's good! I have to say though, i am really impressed with the Iowa girl who plays on her USA team with her, she's a stud, and also a NE recruit. I wonder if she will stay middle for the Huskers or move to the RS? hum.... I really hope Audri chooses The Huskers! I want to see NEB excel to a final four soon! I'm real excited about the future for The Huskers. USC seem's to really be streaming in the power weights as well. Good for them! I have them on my radar for some elite volleyball games coming soon!

Has Hunter Atherton been asked to try out for any junior USA teams as a setter?

Other than Larson, no recent or current Husker middle was highly ranked (probably McNeal before her). There's no one on the current roster like Stivrins (closest would be Hall, but they're even different). She's a true middle. Larson and Keil are completely different. You can even count Foecke who's probably a top 5 recruit next year, but she's destined for one of the pins. You received some bad info.

you really think they would take Foecke off the middle spot? I certainly felt her middle presence with the USA team was the reason that placed so high in recent international matches. She's GOOD! I could see a RS, but wow, she's good at that middle spot!
