Tonight, Nebraska got a commit from Scottsdale, AZ, outside/middle Lauren Stivrins for class of 2016. EDIT: Stivrins plays on the same club team as Khalia Lanier, who someone mentioned earlier in this thread. Lanier just committed to USC. Great get for the Huskeds. How are Rubio and Watson letting that entire (stacked) team get out of state? There are some special circumstances with Stivrins that would've made it tough to keep her in AZ. Her family originally is from Lincoln. Dad starred in hoops at Lincoln East, played in college at Creighton in Omaha. Uncle, grandmother, cousins all live in Lincoln. Her other final 2 choices were USC and UCLA. Doesn't look like an in-state school was really in the mix.

Her dad was an excellent player on some outstanding Lincoln East basketball teams back in that era. He was something like 6'7". How tall is she?

I'm gonna guess they'll do what they need to make room for Fitzmorris. Well, I'm sure however they accomplish that will be more great PR for the program. Would you allow that there may be ways to accomplish that without being deviant?

I think he means that making room has never been a problem for Nebraska.

NE has five juniors currently on scholarship so there is one more available for 2016.

Love what the Huskers have done with the '15 & '16 classes. Especially throwing in Tiani on a 2-for-4 scholie starting next year. Good mix of raw dynamic athletes with other nationally-elite skilled players. Reminds me of some of their early 2000s classes which served them so well.

The huskers are going to need to NAIL an ELITE setter for this 2015-2017 group. Hunter Atherton, does anyone have vid on her? I'm excited to see her play.

There are only four and I'd be surprised if Ostrander has a scholarship. She definitely started her career as a walk-on. Through the years I've found it's nearly impossible to keep track of available scholarships. Many of the back row players are reported as being on "two of four" deals and there's no way of really knowing which years are scholarship and which are walk-on.
