I'll also add a slightly edited image of me and Russell Yamanoha from KHNL Channel 8 who was in DALLAS reporting the event.

Great photos, IB!. By the way, that's a very good likeness of you with Russell! Funny, there were signs at the entrances to Reunion Arena that said no still or video cameras were allowed but no one seemed to be checking when I went through. Got both my video and still cameras through with no problems. I ended up not taking much video, though, because last year, the NCAA people got all up in arms whenever they spotted a video camera. But I got to take a lot of stills with no hassles from anyone -- not the arena people, not the NCAA people. Very different atmosphere from New Orleans Arena. By the way, the Minnesota Golddigger booster club has some nice photos up on its site: golddigger.umn.edu/FinalFour03.html

IB, looking at these photos you seriously had to be sitting right behind me in Dallas!! We (the people I was with) were sitting in the Hawaii section, front row, right behind the bench. I can't believe we were that close to each other (in proximity) and didn't meet!! Whoohoo, finally there - whew, what a relief!!

Was Hawaii able to beat Hawaii? Some have said that this is exactly what they did.

GFunny, there were signs at the entrances to Reunion Arena that said no still or video cameras were allowed but no one seemed to be checking when I went through. That's right.. bring back the bad memories. According to some, it depended on which entrance you came through. The one I went through was checking anything that looked like a camera bag, and ignoring the bottom of any large purse/bag which had pompoms, t-shirts, or other stuff thrown in on top. I had a camera bag, and had nothing large to stuff it in. Heck... at one point, the announcer told people to please stop using their flashes. Not "stop taking pictures," mind you, just "stop using your flashes." In case anyone cares to know, I'm the guy w/ gold hair (2nd from the bottom, left column). It was maroon for all the previous matches this season. -- jt --

I had a camera bag, and had nothing large to stuff it in. It might have also depended on what day you went. On Thursday, at the front entrance, they checked by backpack but didn't dig underneath my jacket where all the cameras were. On Saturday, at the back entrance fronting the parking garage, they weren't even checking backpacks. Yeah, there were a LOT of people taking pictures near where I was sitting -- they just weren't using flashes. I didn't see anyone taking any video, though. I think you should have stuck with the maroon. Just my opinion.
