Ava Jo Berry will most likely be a libero or defensive specialist for the Huskies. At 5'7", she is known for quickness and excellent defensive instincts, in addition to her skills as a setter. She has indicated willingness to focus on defense at the D1 college level.

Stephan attends Lynden in Washington and plays club volleyball for Apex NW Volleyball Club....Stephan is a multi-sport athlete..." - PrepDig. Nothing on her Instagram page. She also plays soccer. Was she at the Neb. match on her visit? She may have just not formally acknowledged the offer and commit yet. Looks like she could be a "good" get. Bajema was also from Lynden (Lynden Christian). |

Unfortunately the story is expired now, and I didn't attend to what appeared to be going on in the background of the post, but I think yes, a match. So Maija Howse is the first 2025 recruit to be announced officially by Washington. and yes, she was a decommit from Purdue. There are 2 other recruits (Azevedo and Berry) that the Washington instragram announced last week as "committed", but they were not announced on the website. I just noticed that the Instagram posting indicated that Howse was "signed", so she was probably the only one that signed an NLI. |
