Yippeee! So glad I was wrong! I imagine she is really raring to go. I'm just hoping that she doesn't move to quickly in her recovery, so she can be certain to play as much as she wants this year. On another note...Do they read these threads? That's uncanny timing. Being the pessimist I am, I am little worried that many are banking heavily on Kriskova. Has anyone ever come back 100% from knee surgery? But I would agree with the Big Ten thread - I'd like to see what Fricano is capable of. So, Dennis, if you are reading, why is the only story on the fall pre-conference schedule from your article, and not on uwbadgers.com? Is it not official? Can you do a story on what exactly they are doing in spring practice with 7 players? After all, WSJ covers football spring practice... Yea, science and medicine continue to get better. it's very common for people to fully recover from knee surgeries. she looks very fit in recent pictures.

Especially because I'm pretty sure her knee issue just involved cartilage. It's not like she had her ACL reconstructed.

Lots of successful recoveries from knee surgery. If it's just meniscus as people say, it truly is minor. I had it and cartilage repair after playing in college and I still played thereafter competitively. Lots of examples in other sports equally demanding on knees...Lindsey Vonn comes to mind.

There are still some cases where the recovery is not so easy; iirc that is what Tiffany Baker's injury was and she has not been the same since, but I think with today's advancements the outcomes are more successful than not.

I thought it was like 3-4 months... it was one of the fastest cases of a full recovery that I'd ever heard of. 10 months is actually on the higher end of the range of typical ACL reconstruction recovery times. Mean is around 6 months, but each case is different depending on the effectiveness of the therapy program, the athlete's mentality and work ethic, and their individual physiology.

The typical recovery to 100% is still around a year for an athlete, but I am sure a bit of that is mental too.

Does any one know why there is no sand program. Sun burn might be an issue competing outdoors after the long winter, but why not?

Because I am still alive. When I die, I am going to leave my millions to Wisconsin Athletics and endow a sand program, complete with 6 schollies and a state of the art indoor sand facility with a retractable roof and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the lake.

By 3-4 months, the graft has completely attached to the bone, and athletes are running by 6 months. 6 months is the mean. Anything before that is exceptional.

Off topic.
I really like this Wisconsin Men's Basketball team. I think they may go deep this year.
