Off topic. I really like this Wisconsin Men's Basketball team. I think they may go deep this year. They're also getting outplayed now. C'monnnnn #BoKnows

Dunno. So far the Twitter is silent. If it's a commit, it's either another walk-on or a 2018. It would be cool to have a transfer, but I think it unlikely.

In 2018 we will need an OH - preferably a solid 6 rotation passer to replace Bates, and a RS, to replace Fricano.
Area 2018s to watch for who might meet our needs:
Brooke Andersen, 5-11 OH, Hartland, Wisconsin
Mia Grunze, 6-2 OH, Waterford, Wisconsin
Eleanor Holthaus, 5-11 S/RS, Cold Spring, Minnesota
Abbey Malinowski, 6-1 OH, Clarkston, Michigan
Also, she's not local, but she looks cool: Haley Warner, 6-2 RS, Fayetteville, Arkansas

I'm betting this is going to be a walk-on. Somebody to fill Erin's spot on the roster.

Do you guys thinks Bates will be starting next season? Or do you guys see Bates on the starting line up in the years coming?

Do you guys thinks Bates will be starting next season? Or do you guys see Bates on the starting line up in the years coming? Nothing is a guarantee with Sheff. You have to earn it every day in practice. But I like her odds.

Do you guys thinks Bates will be starting next season? Or do you guys see Bates on the starting line up in the years coming? My money is on her starting. She's a really good 6 rotation player with an effective serve, a dynamic quality at hitter and athletic defensively. She also showed she can step up and develop over a season. Other players could take that place from her, but it will be tough to do.

Do you guys thinks Bates will be starting next season? Or do you guys see Bates on the starting line up in the years coming? The way Bates as a supposedly undersized freshman took over that Illinois match at the key juncture in the third set when all looked doomed is an indication of the other key element that she brings. She has a fire in her belly and is not afraid of taking the hits when it really counts.

Bates will e a starter and a leader on the team this year. Ironically, if you asked me last summer I'd have said that little girl was going to get crushed in this league, but man did she prove me wrong!
