I am curious if Borup has ever been healthy enough to play an entire season? Who is the next backup OH if she is injured? Probably Taylor Williams. Would be interesting if they tried Bacon or Hansen at OH though.

Do we not think Hansen will be the other middle?

Do we not think Hansen will be the other middle? Bacon will start at M2. She's got a monstrous defensive net presence and is really tuning in her offense.

Boy, that is a ton of Frosh. The Ducks may not have the best team, but they'll have plenty of bodies. Bacon looks like the real deal.

If nuneviller moves OH, who plays DS for Johnson or Borup if she’s struggling?

If nuneviller moves OH, who plays DS for Johnson or Borup if she’s struggling? The transfers do leave us a bit thin on defense this fall. Maybe the other setter could ds right back if needed or maybe some of the freshmen OHs can pass....we add another true defender in 2020 with Morse so backrow should be solid again then all the way across but really hope there’s no injuries this fall. 🙏

There is a true DS on the roster this year as well. But same level as Van Sickle or Tastad though?

Ducks picked #3 in the PAC-12 preseason poll (garnering 1 first-place vote), and Ronika, Willow, and Brooker are named to the Pre-Season All-Conference team. http://instagram.com/p/B1FFPrjpPK-

The Ducks come in at #11 in the AVCA Preseason Poll. #3 Minnesota, #8 Penn St., and #12 Pitt are on the docket in the pre-season, and 6 PAC-12 teams were in the Top 25 with 3 more receiving votes.

Out of curiosity, if Nuneviller moves to OH this season and potentially through the rest of college, do you think this hurts her chances at all of becoming USAs future libero? Obviously that wasn’t the case with Courtney or Robinson but she wouldn’t get the same reps at left back. Just a thought

But she wouldn’t get the same reps. She’ll also have to focus more on hitting and blocking, which I’m sure she’d have to do a lot this year with not doing it last year. And I assume if/when she is a 6 rotation OH, she’ll probly play middle back to hit the pipe. Just wasn’t sure if that hurts her chances not having the same reps as a typical 4-year libero.
