Why did Oregon start a short set with Stone serving (and thus immediately leaving the court)? To get our taller outside matched up on their right side for a bigger block. Spun the dial in the 4th and it worked.

Whatever happens from here, Oregon will have outscored Princeton for the match, but they are in severe danger of losing 3-2.

Oregon does NOT look good. Im sure they will be better with Johnson and Borup back, buuuut, there is no excuse, they should not be fighting to come back in the fifth, let alone in the fifth with Princeston

This was not a pretty match, but BROOKE NUNEVILLER is the woman of the match. If this is what it takes for her to flip the switch i can live with it. Those last two sets are what we knew she could bring in a hitting position. I loved her calling for the ball on those key points.

It was looking there like Stone might not even get back into the front row for a second time. However, she did end up being there when the match was on the line at the end.
Still, I don't like it, in a short set.

I didn't actually see the match, so this is all just by looking at the stats and having seen Oregon before. But even though teams need balance and multiple weapons, sometimes they also need to just go to their best players and win or lose on them. It's hard though, when it's a middle. Easier to ride an OH. Sounds like in this case you needed an OH to step up, and one did.
