This was terrific for this little girl. You have to watch Krasinski do his "show" for about half of it, and then it hits you. His wife Emily Blunt and Robert DeNiro makes an appeearance too.

Yeah, I may have cried. John Krasinski is great. His first podcast was good, too. I had no idea he was married to Emily Blunt.

I had my doubts that this was going to be enjoyable but it was. Yup, halfway into it, it picks up and becomes the whole purpose of this video. Some questions and comments: 1. I didn't realize Hamilton is loved by kids. 2. How can that girl say "Oh, that's my favorite" about a hip-hop song in Hamilton when, to me, most of hip-hop sounds the same. LOL! 3. How was everyone in synch with each other and the music? This must be the polished and edited version. I bet in the real ZOOM teleconference, it looked pretty amateurish and out of synch. (Disclaimer: I've never used ZOOM.) 4. I thought it was funny when John Krasinski referenced "Jack Ryan" when talking about himself and it went straight over the girl's head. She herself talked about The Office instead, not even acknowledging Jack Ryan. I think the girl was oblivious to Krasinksi's Jack Ryan TV series. And why would he even think people know him from Jack Ryan? If this was intentional humor, it was badly done.

the last show of the season, a bronx tale, will not proceed as planned. originally scheduled for may 5 - 10, it will either be rescheduled or canceled entirely officially canceled.
one good thing is that i get to apply the price of the ticket to my season tickets for next year. makes that package less expensive

I don't know who John Krasinski is, though. I had to look him up in Google to find out that he was even in The Office. I was involved with a woman for a while who seemed to have a crush on "Jim" from The Office. I guess this was that same guy?

Lots of people know "Jack Ryan," that is Harrison Ford (Clear and Present Danger, Patriot Games), Alec Baldwin (Hunt for Red October), and Ben Affleck (Sum of All Fears). Maybe Chris Pine as well. However, I doubt a lot of people associate John Krasinski with "Jack Ryan." If you've never seen The Office, you're missing out. One of the funniest TV shows ever. You should watch it before you die from COVID19.

One of my friends from college summed him up by describing what he does in Patriot Games -- he's just a regular tourist in London who saves the life of Charles and Diana essentially single-handedly, and then later when they come to the US he invites them to his house for a backyard BBQ because he figures he is so special that he alone is the only one who will be willing to treat them as "regular people" instead of royalty. (Oh, and he saves their lives again, too.) I stopped bothering to read the books before he became President of the US (but not by being so crass as to be a politician and actually run for office).

Speaking of John Krasinski, so everyone knows (I think?) that he's married to Emily Blunt. When my wife and I were watching The Girl on the Train (2016), which stars Blunt, we started to talk about Emily Blunt. I discovered that my wife didn't know she and Krasinski were married. I said, "Boy, he certainly married up." My wife replied, "Well, if John is anything like that Jim character he plays in The Office, I'd say she married up."

I know azvb you are a muscial hardcore geek, so do I have a treat for you while you are stuck at home, the full Phantom of the Opera musical is now available for a limited time on youtube thanks to Andrew Lloyd Webber himself. The musical starts after a brief public message on the pandemic. Watch it before it is taken off the air (in about 48 hours). Now go watch it:

It is on our schedule tomorrow when my husband can watch. His tax season just keeps going......... I watched Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat a couple of weeks ago. I hoped it would be the stage version, but it was a video made for direct DVD distribution that I already own. I always forget ALW did Joseph.

I don't think Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess can compare to Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in their original roles as Phantom and Christine. But Karimloo and Boggess do a good job still.

My first time seeing Phantom was in LA with Michael Crawford. He was really good. Sarah Brightman bothers me. Beautiful voice, and I love her on the cast recording. but her facial expressions are so annoying. I saw Sierra Boggess in Little Mermaid. She was good, the show-meh.

Who would be the best Christine? Now that Phantom is on YouTube, I want to see Hamilton, Kiss of the Spider Woman and Hairspray online too.
