Well my husband pulled off the perfect early birthday Greek Island, Broadway and not a year older. I will admit to not having seem the stage version before. I do so love live theater - even the fact that people mingle in the lobby of greet each other when being seated in w a way that just doesn’t happen anywhere else. Kendra Kassebaum was great as was Sarah Rudinoff who played Roise. The flow of the show is better on stage and it definitely has much more of a Greek ethos v Hollywood compared to the movie version. My only disappointment was Palo Montalban who played Sam( he played Prince Charming v Brandy in the Brandy Whitney Huston remake of Cinderella) - miss cast IMO too youthful and honestly my husband bring an architect and my big love is so much sexier! . So fun to sing and dance along in the little after concert! I can’t stand the movie, but LOVE the stage version!!!!!

I'm not sure if I said this but I don't know why musicals and gays have such a close association. It seems that if you're a guy and love musicals, there's an assumption that you're gay. I don't get that. I'm a guy, thoroughly heterosexual, but love musicals and dance numbers and Judy Garland and keeping things tidy around the house and Will & Grace.

Same thing with girls that love softball. Or WNBA basketball.

Last broadway musical I saw was "Fun Home". Lots of children actors who were exuberant. It was in the round and I don't think that they fully realized it. Was pretty disappointed.

The younger teen version of Alison B was amazing though

When it comes to music, don't really listen to the words. I mean, I listen but most of the lyrics don't register in my brain. The words are like instrument sounds without meaning.

If the lyrics are simple, e.g., Love Me Do (Beatles), then I can understand them. For the most part, I can't. Also, if I read something out loud, comprehension goes out the window. I can only comprehend something I read without vocalizing it. There's something wrong with my brain.
