Is this the only thread on the upcoming event? It starts next week and doesn't seem to be much interest in who is/is not playing, rumors, background?

Carambula was originally intended as a short-term replacement for an injured Caminati, but it will be interesting to see how that situation plays out.
Hearing Walsh is unlikely to play St. Pete.
Also heard Carico/DiCello are done, and a couple of other or partnerships are on very shaky ground on the women's side. I think there will be some switch ups in the Carico/S. Ross/Fopma/Hochevar/McGuire etc group in the not too distant future.

Imagine the partner swapping would be happening sooner if not for the long lead time required to enter tournaments.

Dicello registered for Gstaad with Van Zwieten. As of now Carico not registered.
And Rosenthal/Doherty registered for Gstaad.

Has to be hard to play after you've been dumped/done the dumping.

Yeah, I think there's some changes in the works already. Looks like A. Ross and Pavlik for St. Pete. And in what could have a huge effect on the St. Pete field, Larissa/Talita pulled out of Stavanger at the last minute due to an unspecified injury to Talita. Stay tuned, I guess.

Stay tuned, I guess. 2015.cbv.com.br/midia/ultimas-noticias/item/21432-lesaoExcerpt using Google Translate: Winning the Grand Slam Moscow and Major Series of Porec, Larissa and Talita are out of contention Major Series Stavanger, which began on Monday (8:06), Norway. Talita felt discomfort in the thigh and will be saved for the next events of the season. ... "We're coming from two very tough championship, where we won both of them. And the strategy and physical part is important to save the girls, and go with full force to the United States," explains Oliveira Neto, physical trainer. "We received a very positive energy in the last two championships, and that was key to our victories. It is important that this strength will continue, and next week we will be 100%," added Larissa. So if you believe the trainer and the athlete, they plan to be in St. Pete.

Fendrick and Sweat haven't exactly lit it up on the FIVB either.
Would be curious to hear the story behind Day and Ross. They weren't terrible, I always thought Summer was the ALpha (fe)male on that team (I could be wrong), moved on from Day, and it looks like Day is now in a pretty good position as far as USWomen go.

Did Summer dump Day or did Kessy pick Day?
