In the spirit of the AVCA All-American selections for outdstanding volleyball players, we would like to post our own T.V.P. All-American Fan Teams. The selections were based on knowledgeable posts, analyses of team match ups, team loyalties, and for their support & appreciation of all volleyball teams in the nation. This year, the 2003 "Most Valuable T.V.P. Fan" goes to...roofan (a.ka. SquirrelBoy) from the Midwest. 1st All-American Fan Team: Vballdoll Ichiscratchy Kolohekeki Vballmom David Eater 2nd All-American Fan Team: Barefoot in Kailua SweetieVBfan IdahoBoy Coach McGuirk Beachy vbfan4life 3rd All-American Fan Team: Rus Socoli the future Bookumdanoaloha V Tito99 SPECIAL AWARDS: Rookie All-American Fan of the Year: ...CaliforniaVBfan All-American Fan "Instigator": ...tigfan (Actually, tigfan and Eater were neck in neck most of the season, but true to form, tigfan came on strong at the end of the season to garner...the fan who drew the most "trash-taking" posts ever. Congratulations? If you missed this year's T.V.P. Contests, check us out next year. We will be including all the key 2004 EIVA & MIVA matches as well, so we'll have more country-wide fans participating. Again, top awards will be one of vbcrusin veteran Californian/Hawaiian shirts...to symbolize the T.V.P. status and prestige that goes with the title. Congratulations again to ALL these great fans who had the guts & knowledge to put-it-on-the-line each week. It made it a very ENJOYABLE season. See you next year.

Coach McGuirk should've been first team over David. David's numbers are way down from last season, he's overrated as a first teamer. His inclusion on the first team is a sympathy pick because the Bruins were down this year. Who picks these TVP-AA-fan teams anyway ...... Just Kiddin'. Thanks Crusin'

Woohoo! First team! Are we having a banquet?
I could've had two awards? Darn. Well that's okay, tigboy lives in Stockton, he needs it more than I do to brighten up his dreary existence.

How about the worst fan of all, none other than the vicious, lying and egocentric VBDOG. On behalf of Pepperdine fans everywhere, good riddance from Firestone Fieldhouse!

Can I claim a medical redshirt because late in the season I was incapacitated? Then will I be eligible for Rookie of the Year next year? Thanks again for the contest, VB! It made the season even more fun.

Jusk Kidding! Thanks for letting me participate in this fine contest and I look forward to defending my title and hopefully earn 1 of those shirts that wiouldn't fit anyway!!! LOL Thanks Crusin! Roofan p.s. Whether I like it, you like it, or anyone else likes it...for the next year the National Title gets to stay in the Midwest! Guess the MIVA isn't too bad after all!

Glad you all enjoyed the FUN contests... My pleasure! ;D To tigfan & Eater...Actually I tossed a coin to see who would win the "Instigator" award, it was THAT close a call. I look forward to hearing from you both in 2004. You both made me laugh...constantly. Keep it up! To Barefoot...the T.V.P. panel has spoken, and their decisions are always final. Coach McGuirk did not play enough contest matches to qualify for the 1st Team...I expect him to do a lot better in 2004. He's very knowledgeable and quite the prognostigator. In other words, MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS and hit the beach! To Guest...I really didn't want to recognize the real obnoxious posters. They don't deserve any recognition...even negative ones. Anyone who can make Eater and tigfan LOOK GOOD, I don't want to meet. Do you? To ichiscrathy...you're quite a prognostigator. I think EVERYONE should watch out for you in 2004 (provided you start early with us). You're going to be tough to beat next year in a full season. To Beachy...SORRY. No redshirting here...I also like TRUE freshman instead of redshirt freshman. There is no excuse to mssing these fabulous T.V.P. contests...just because you have a life, and I don't, is NO excuse. Sorry...no sideout for you! Lastly, to roofan...okay Squirrel Boy. One of the Most Valuable All-American Fan traits is that you have to be "humble." BAHHHHHHHH...you lose. Incidentally, my California/Hawaiian shirts might be too big for your "junior miss" squirrely muscles. I'll send one just the same. As far as the title staying in the MIVA next year...I don't think so. You're already trash-talking for 2004? Anyway, you're gonna have a tough time defending YOUR title. Be prepared...you're gonna get knocked off your high mountain. ;D

I am honored and humbled. But, I will not rest on my laurels. I promise to spend the entire off-season training, so that next year I can be a much stronger trash-talker.

Just to clarify... these awards are only for MEN'S volleyball right? Not women's or just volleyball in general. If it were elsewise, I think I'd start to cry!
VBCruisin... I'd like to thank you very much for all of your hard work and dedication to help get the men's side of this forum up and going and for running this contest!
You are awesome.

I should be on the first team AA! All that effort to break some balls and I get no votes! It's all politics.

Hey Jewel... It's definitely "politics" with you...let's DEFINE politics..."Poli" means "many"..."tics" means "bloodsuckers." Hmmmmm sorta describes many negative posters. MAYBE next year we'll have the "most obnoxious" award, but I would hate to encourage this type of communication. "Trash-talkers" can be funny at times, BUT some go way over the line to be nasty. I don't condone that. Join us in the "T.V.P. predictions" next year (together with your "ball busting") and you may earn a definite award. You do seem to affect people in a certain way...didn't you get enough hugs as a kid? See you next year.
