I don't think Louisville is in trouble in terms of not hosting, but they made a pretty good case not to host, being swept by Syracuse.
I realize this is a pretty good team for Syracuse standards, but still ... not the strongest finish.

Louisville RPI will drop...but they have at least a share of ACC..which will be good enough to host....will be curious if they share...will that be enough for UNC to host...

Marquette is solidly on the bubble with the loss to Creighton.

Marquette is solidly on the bubble with the loss to Creighton. I still think the Golden Eagles are in, and not one of the last teams in. 5 top 50 wins and 2 of those may be top 25. But, their RPI is going to be in the 40s now

The real question of concern around here is whether the Gators host rounds 1and 2? The committee is full of surprises. I think the Gators are the 10 seed, 8-9 if very lucky, host , and if they manage to get out of Gainesville, go to Austin.

So will Florida be seeded above Texas A&M? I would bet not but there are a plethora of reasons to seed A+M higher. I bet they are seeded very close to each other. They each have 6 losses. They each have one top 5 win (Minnesota and Texas) They split with each other. Florida is 5-4 vs Top 25; A&M is 7-3 Both teams lost to Arkansas. A&M's next 'bad loss' is to #91 Iowa; Florida's next 'bad loss' is to #64 Auburn I think A&M gets the nod based on more top 25 wins, but their resumes are close.

If UNC wins tomorrow, they'll host. They beat Louisville this year and probably will have a higher RPI after everything said and done.

That seems to be the NCAA's solution for any almost-seed not within 400 miles of another subregional - send them to Seattle!

Xavier just got knocked out of the Big East tournament and they'll be too far down the RPI numbers to make the tournament. That should guarantee Villanova a spot in my mind.

Conference titles have absolutely nothing to do with hosting. Yes but ACC champion has been hosting for the last 4 years and will host again! But that's probably b/c those teams met the criteria for hosting .... and not b/c they were conference champions ... just sayin' ...
