Assuming that Kyle Weindel sheds the volunteer assistant tag and move up to full time assistant, does Mick add another coach to his staff?

Tim Nollan was the guy I always saw at club tournaments recruiting (as well as Mick), how does his departure affect USC recruiting? Who will take up his responsibilities and how do you expect them to be similar and different? Only one 2018 commit so far although that seems a light year for needs. 2019 will likely require a Ford and Johnson replacement. This club season will be a big year to scout setters in particular as they seem to be first to go these days. Johnson is the only setter listed for 2017 and 2018 on RichKern. 2018 is too late - need a second setting option for 2017.

USC is turning Brooke Botkin into a setter for 2017 They will have a lot of tuning to do. Brooke is a much better attacker than setter. Hopefully the words "back up" can be used before setter. She will have a much better career hitting.

Who does USC have slotted as a Pizzasegola replacement in 2017? Usually top setters are verbal several years in advance and many (not all) top 2018 are already spoken for. I don't see any recruits on RIch Kern. Not that I think USC has any sort of recruiting problem, but as prep volleyball becomes more widespread with depth of talent, those "top recruits" tend to mean less and less. There are plenty of unheralded non big time HS recruits that are tearing up the college game and plenty of top 10 recruits that are just eh...and 2018 is still two full prep years away, plenty of time for prep players to develop.

That's a very nice coaching staff. On what basis do you say that?

That's a very nice coaching staff. On what basis do you say that? Because I think they're good coaches. More importantly, they have a two-time National Champion coach who just reinvented himself last season.

It's a very good staff. Adding Nicole Davis is definitely a positive.
