I was aware of Cannulli flaking. Who was the other one? Was it Skylar Dykstra? Yep

What's Dykstra's deal anyway? I'd say her career is done...

Penn State definitely needs someone like Courtney in the future; don't think they will have that for 2016. Not sure why you say this - I think they may already have "someone like Courtney" on their roster based on the fact that they won all the matches (with the exception of Northwestern, the match she went down) that she was out for the injury this year, plus both OSU matches where she was just back and "not 100%" according to Rose. Yeah, not sure what I was thinking . . .

Well, I know what I was hoping for - perhaps Penn State picking up someone leaving Nebraska.

I know that, but misinterpreted what he said as "arguably the NFOY" -- the player that fits the use of that word is Washington, who "arguably" would have been NFOY if she had qualified for the award by playing in enough sets. Even referring to Frantti I wouldn't say she had a "really poor year," but to each his own. Yeah, for me as the King of Commas, commas before and after "arguably" would've made that sentence much better.

It seems like no one really has the tools to be an elite pin hitter and 6-rotation player on this team. Oft-injured players and those who have only occasionally shown anything aren't particularly promising to change that. Out of curiosity, how many elite pin hitters 6-rotation players are there in the country? I would think Frantti has the best tools to be that player in 2016, although she is not Courtney. Courtney, of course, was rare.

I have been out of the country so just had a chance to catch up on my DVR. I watched the Under Armor AA match and saw only one PSU player - Kristin Krauss. What is her story? She was setting in the match, is she coming in as a setter? Lots of other B1G/Pac12 teams had big time players on the teams. It was a little sad to only see the Krauss girl representing PSU. How did Krause do? Was she a factor in the UA match? I don't think she is tall enough to overtake the other setters on PSU's roster.

The players were getting injured faster than they could fix them. That is a sure formula for trouble.

PSU has 3 juniors on the 2015 roster. All 3 girls are DS types. Do any of those 3 girls get scholarship help? I'm talking about Muller, Krause and Broerman. PSU does not have many scholarships to give for the 2017 class. Attrition could change the count of course. Hence, the only verbal is the middle blocker from Texas. Right now, 2018 looks to have at least 4 scholarships to give. The NCAA only allows 12 full scholarships per school. Here is a list of the most probable scholarship-awarded student-athletes on PSU in 2016: Rivera Frantti Reed Holcomb Washinton Novakovic Thelen Weiskircher Lee White Farrell Gorrell It seems these student-athletes are walk-ons. Pierce Muller Broerman Demure Krause Sciorra
