Maybe Lexi Sun will decommit from Texas and transfer to Penn State? Speaking of Lexi Sun, did she play High School vb this season? She was not listed on the maxpreps roster although Santa Fe has some stats listed, only mention I can find is from early September which said they were playing without her as she was resting a "weary shoulder". She was also not listed on her high school's roster

PSU will be 9 DS/L 10 if you include Rivera for 2016.
They would have been at 9 had this year too if 2 hadn't flaked. Ultimately they ended at 7 for the season and 6 at NCAA time due to injury.

Rose previously has had good success with walk-on DSs until recently. However with Kendall White coming in 2016 and Jenna Hampton in 2018 there will be very little playing time for the other DS players. With Emily Demure coming in 2016 and Gabby Blossom in 2018 we will also have good depth at the setter position.

Success here is the realization of personal and worthwhile team goals. Coach enjoys teaching and nurturing young ladies as they become competent leaders of the future. In return many ladies, like Widget and Roberta, proved invaluable to PSU's VB success. That's what I call - a WIN-WIN SITUATION.

Was Lacey and Kendall not successful?

Rose previously has had good success with walk-on DSs until recently. Considering both Lacey and Kendall had 3 Final 4's, 2 National Championships and a B1G title under there belt and were both first players off the bench for Ds roles, I would say they were success .....lately. Furthemore, by your definition I would say Penn State continues to have great success with DS's in the likes of Maggie Harding and Lara Caraway too. Sorry , but I've read way too many careless posts today from people.

Apologies for interjecting in your discussion and I realize MTC gave a reply, but I though Joe Pa said it best: There are many people, particularly in sports, who think that success and excellence are the same thing. They are not the same thing. Excellence is something that is lasting and dependable and largely within a person’s control. In contrast, success is perishable and is often outside our control. If you strive for excellence, you will probably be successful eventually. People who put excellence in the first place have the patience to end up with success. An additional burden for the victim of the success mentality is that he is threatened by the success of others and he resents real excellence. In contrast, the person that is fascinated by quality is excited when he sees it in others. I think coach Rose and the PSU program embody excellence, and it's nicknamed "the grind."

So is everyone discounting Keaton from being in contention for the libero position then?

So is everyone discounting Keaton from being in contention for the libero position then? She SHOULD not be overlooked. Opportunity and confidence are amazing things when afforded to an athlete.

From video I've seen, white reminds me a lot of Dom in her play style. She's a scrappy grind it out player. I don't get that impression from keeton
