thanks BearClause - however, i checked my local listings and didn't see Cal-USC listed either... Doh! I think you need to subscribe to a special digital cable package with Fox Sports Digital Nets. However - I couldn't find this match. It wasn't broadcast live, and I scoured through a week of FCSP listings and couldn't find Cal-USC.

BearClause, I like your 'new look' - nice color scheme! Not too ostentatious? For some reason, blue and gold seemed just about right. ;D

USC ran into a buzz saw Cal Bears team. Abernathy played like a 1st team All American with performances by Leffell and Pressey not far behind. USC had no control of the net almost the entire match. USC played O.K. but Cal played out of this world!

I'm still scratching my head as to why this is out on Tuesday. Guess they put all their ink into the football game. Volleyball: Bears Defeat USC to Break 18-Year Streakwww.dailycal.org/article.php?id=16481(The title refers to Cal's previous win at USC in 1986.)

What a stunning ....whuppin! Been out of town for 4+ days although I got a phone call early Sun am to hear about the win!
The Cal squad has shown flashes of this kind of play here and there this season in various games. Having the main hitters all successfully tending to business in the same match all 3 games made for a wonderful outcome.
Now for some consistency! A full team effort every match will make the Bears tough to handle!

I wholeheartedly agree with you, Go Bears. Looking forward to this weekend's games. There should be a big crowd at Saturday's game as it's parents weekend and it will be right after a football game!

I wholeheartedly agree with you, Go Bears. Looking forward to this weekend's games. There should be a big crowd at Saturday's game as it's parents weekend and it will be right after a football game! Sounds like a plan. It's actually Homecoming Week. I have an admission to make. I was a bit depressed about the outcome of last Saturday's football game. I was just going to avoid monitoring the VB score, and look it up later that night. Then I said what the heck. I was going to take a quick look and then get something to eat. Then I saw Cal was ahead by a comfortable margin in game 1. It sort of trapped me in. I kept on monitoring the score, and it blew my mind that Cal was keeping a lead after getting swept by UCLA the night before. Some fellow posters (IB) were commenting that I seemed a bit calm after Cal won, given that it was probably the biggest upset in their history. I just didn't know what to say. It just seemed so improbable. So in conclusion..... DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET A COPY OF THIS MATCH ON TAPE? I'M GETTING DESPERATE. I'VE SCOURED THE SCHEDULES, AND CAN'T FIND IT ANYWHERE ON THE FOX SPORTS/FOX COLLEGE SPORTS PACIFIC SCHEDULES.
