Just noticed Bourne/Burik in the country Quota playoffs. I thought (wrongly) that this late the team kept the original seed.

Mark getting some great partners so far this year. A couple years ago I remember watching them lose to Adrian/Steve at Big Shot and thinking, "boy if Hudson could just get a better partner."

I don't think Mark is that great. But he is willing to travel and train more than most guys.

Burik seems like a really good guy who gives a lot back to the sport and other players in terms of opportunity. Its cool to see him getting his now.

It seems like he works hard, but has different priorities than being the best (as part of a team). I looks like he is playing with Derek because Derek was willing to spend the off-season in Brazil, not because that is who he'd do best with. Can't blame the guy, dating one of the Salgado sisters & wants to spend time with her.

Playing in Brazil certainly can't hurt. They've got the most competition. I just think Casebeer has problems setting well and is just a little bit of a tweener. Not quite as huge of a block as the best bigs on tour. He certainly is a great athlete.

I'd really like to see him play behind a block, or split block some. I was hoping he'd play with Slick some this year.

If so it could be his best chance of jumping into the top teams. I wish Tim Bomgren would do this as well.
