Match time is 1:00pm CT at the link below: stream.nbcolympics.com/volleyball-womens-preliminary-match-9Netherlands, as we've seen, is young, physical, and capable of beating anyone on any given day. What will be the keys to this match? IMO, it will come down to Serve and Pass. If we can run our offense and impose our will, this will be a 3-0 or 3-1 win for the US. Can we slow down Slojetes?? |

Excited for this match. Confidence for Netherlands is sky high after defeating China yesterday. Pinning my hopes on USA in 4 sets.

Like this article. He pointed out the poor connection between setter and hitter on the slide and the "go" set to the outside, but he talks about it as if it is something out of the ordinary. I know the fast setting is going to be risky, but the missed connection is almost always because the setter sets the ball too low for team USA. |

All part of the "journey" Even if I haven't liked them all, all the streams on bbc.co.uk for volleyball that I've watched so far has had announcers(Beach and indoors). This US vs NED stream does have announcers as well. |

Last year in Turkey's Club season Guidetti in one game targeted KimYoung10 the whole match on serve. I'm wondering if he might start with that tactic against Hill and see if he can force KK to sub her out for Krob. We know she is susceptible to receive break downs. It would be a shame to break her confidence this early in the tournament. Plus she would know what he is doing so that would add to her stress.
