Anyone else sick of the "here comes the boom" sound track playing every time someone gets a kill in both indoor and beach?

So it "appears" that Kerri "ain't so bad" after all, as I have posted through this year leading up to Rio . . .

I don't want to take anything away from Kerri, but I'd like to hear Marlowe or the Wonger mention just once that her partner is the best player in the world.

Six months ago I would have agreed with you but is that still true? April is a fantastic side out player but her defense doesnt measure up to some players and her foot speed is a liability. Then consider she no longer has the most dominant serve on tour, instead opting to jump float all the time. Shouldnt the best player in the world be better at scoring points?

April is averaging around a .620 kill percentage in the Olympics. She hit over .700 tonight. And it's not like Kerri has been setting nectar (particularly against the Swiss, although to be fair there was a nasty swirling wind). I can't imagine what more you would want from a player. What was true six months ago is still true today.

Maybe converting digs, but compared to a player like Larissa, April doesn't dig a lot of balls - in particular behind Kerri's block. I'd want her to be someone who is a big plus scoring "real" points and I am not sure she is that anymore. Also any idea why the move away from the hard jump serve? She may still be the best, but among the teams with a chance at gold, I think Walsh/Ross probably have the worst defending and thats April

They just mentioned during the telecast of the Germans beating the Swiss that the Swiss coach thinks the top 3 players in the world are Larissa, Ludwig and Kerri.
