Del Core has no business starting for this Italian team. I would have preferred the Bossetti sisters and even Piccinini over her.

If Italy can find an L2, they're going to be nasty in Tokyo. They just don't have it put together quite yet. Another big middle would help them along way too. Someone is going to half to replace Del Core though... I'm not sure they have that play yet.. 6'5" Danesi is 20 and on the bench. It will be interesting to see where she's played in this upcoming club season. She either needs to work on her reception or her positioning hitting from the right (the cross court cut especially). I wonder if they'd try a Gamova like situation with her hitting from 4. I'm excited to see Egonu develop. |

The US really should send all OOS balls to Hill and Larson. I know it puts extra weight on them but I think they have the mental toughness to deal with getting blocked every so often and it's just silly to set Murphy when any set to her that isn't good results in a free ball for the opposition.
