This match seems to be a good opportunity to get our OPP's going and give them some confidence and momentum. Well, I believe its rather late in the day for them to develop confidence...if they lack it. You don't develop confidence in the Olympics. You display it. Sure, there is always room to improve from one match to the next. But we are talking about relatively minor technical adjustments. Its not very realistic to have a sudden quantum leap in performance at this stage. That is not unheard of, but quite rare in practice. I didn't mean to imply that they didn't have confidence, but our right side attack has not been up to our normal standards so far and it seems like this match would be a good chance to reestablish that setter-hitter connection and aggressive attacking.

Not just right side attack, but the setting could also be a little more consistent. Not saying its bad, but every little ounce of improvement could make a big difference now.

How many ways can these commentators come up with to pronounce Foluke's last name?

Did you see in the replay that Adams' back slide? It was so close to an injury as she almost landed to another Japanese player's feet/foot (Ishii)
