Kind of like the 2012 London match btw Russia and Brazil when Brazil finished 4th and Russia finished 1st. Brazil ended up knocking Russia off in the 5th set that went past 15 pts. 21-19 in the 5th. And the "last straw" blown call that cemented the case for Hawkeye. 10-12 Brasil hit sharp cross-court and bounced it >1 diameter in. Both line judges missed it  Replay clearly showed it beyond doubt. 11-12 it should have been. Instead ... 10-13. Russia had 6 match points from 14-19. 21-19 Brasil. So now we have challenges  |

Brazil's gonna drop off for a while. Who do they have in reserve? It seems most of their current 12+ roster is late 20's to early 30's Sheilla, Jacqueline and Fabiana have announced their retirement from the National Team. |

and yet I do not feel bad for him! gosh I really hate Brazil. this is a match I will watch again and again. That 1st part is mean but I can't say I'm that disappointed myself. |

Sheilla, Jacqueline and Fabiana have announced their retirement from the National Team. I'm gonna guess Thaisa and Dani Lins will be following soon after Both of them could easily make it to Tokyo. I think Fabiana can too, but it looks like she's not planning on that. I expect Fe Garay and Juciely to retire from the team. Interested to see what kind of young talent Ze has in the pipeline. |
