I would say that having Matt Anderson, Murphy Troy, Kelly Murphy and Karsta Lowe is the opposite of having a problem! I think they're all great players, I just hope that they can come through for us for the next several days

Um, this makes no sense. Anderson has had trouble connecting and timing but that has disappeared the last three matches. He was terrible against Mexico and was quickly benched, though that may have been by design. He looked more rested against Poland and was dominant, I just feel like he's still missing on some easy opportunities. I would love nothing more than for him to demolish the Italians. I am quite sure Mexico was a gimme and his benching was less to do with play and more to do with rest.

Is Anderson's inconsistency due to him, or due to Micah?

Lowe's biggest problem right now is that she makes way too many errors on broken down plays. She needs to keep the ball in play when she can't take a good healthy swing at it. While the role of the opposite in a double sub is not easy, that IS her role. For the most part, she's been fine in-system. I would agree, that said.. Lloyd sets the right side much more consistently which leads to more opportunities to score regardless of system vs out of system... I do think that Glass sets the left better than Lloyd and could be our Libero if need be... Girl has been getting everything up! Lloyd on defense is.. well.. not good. They have their strengths and weaknesses.

Is Anderson's inconsistency due to him, or due to Micah? I actually think Micah is pretty darn consistent. Matt is sometimes late to the ball and just swings away or brings the ball down into the block instead of taking a bit off and trying to tool but that is his game... he isn't going to change. Matt is doing well... the good news is that we know he is capable of more!
