Last I heard, which was pretty recently, LMU had not given her a release. Things can always change, of course. Numerous sources (including friends and coaches) have said she was ultimately granted a release and is definitely transferring to UCLA.

Morgan Kath -- setter -- from Stony Brook to Mississippi State (per Rich Kern) That's kind of shocking, Stony brook did not do well in the American East this year but Miss St already has a nice setter in Blossom Sato. Unless they run a 6-2 I don't see Kath beating her out for floor time Shocking? MSU's freshman setter last year (Duzenack) transfered out of the program to Dallas Baptist (per her twitter), leaving only Sato on the roster. Sato has struggled in the front row, and they did run some 6-2 last year (though not too successfully because Duzenack was not really ready to run the faster offense). They had not recruited a setter, so rather than just have Sato by herself on the roster, they added some depth. For Kath, it's an opportunity to compete for a starting, possibly 6-rotation spot. Or as half of a 6-2.

You're USC, you shouldn't need transfers. %*$# happens. Everyone was so high on Davis and then she was unable to play due to medical issues.

Agreed it does happen. again tho, you're USC! eating a scholarship matters but somehow Stanford lost the player of the PAC from the year prior and still won it all...

USC lost both Davis and Reed. 2 MBs in 2 years. Sad.

Didn't Texas start two transfers this season?
