There's no doubt that there are players with significant talent that want to go to school in Gainesville and be a part of a perennial top-10 program. Even better is that the mindset of the staff, current players and those that have committed to take Florida to another level. While many programs seek to be Final Four worthy, it seems clear that Florida has the talent and mindset to achieve this, not just over the near term, but now. Look for this team to continue to play with a "one match at a time" philosophy, myopically focused on what they are doing on their side of the net. It will be interesting to see how the pause in the season caused by Irma impacts the momentum that the Gators had built through the first two weekends. My sense is that they will be more than fine and focused on the one point, one set, one match at a time mindset. |

If they continue their focus they will not be challenged in the SEC with the exception of UK. And that's a maybe at this point! Before the season most of the SEC fans and half of the Gators on this board were saying the CATS had surpassed the Gators! Don't see those posts too much as of late!
