Kellum has another year under belt, so that's an advantage. She looked dynamic running the slide today. King is the only one who hasn't played this year, I'm thinking they're going to redshirt her this season. I don't believe she's injured, but it would make sense to redshirt her and have her for 3 more years after Rhamat is gone.

Congrats to Mary, win #800 at Florida. Congrats Mary! I've always enjoyed Wise and wish her Gators well. I always root for them...unless they're playing Hawaii.

Florida looked sloppy in both matches. It was a chance to give some other players some time, which is important, but they played down to the competition. I felt for Greer -- minimal time, and her sets were atrocious. I was glad to see them running the slide more often, but it's stunning it's taken this long. Kramer looked like 2016 Kramer -- obviously effective in terms of kill %, but didn't seem as strong as the opening weekend. Hopefully it was just the effect of not having any competition last weekend per Irma. But based on these matches, not National Championship material.

Congrats to Mary on win 800 at Florida! An incredible feat to accomplish in a career but at one school is fantastic!
This Florida team looks the best in the country in my eye. So physical and play with a high intensity. Would hate to see them in my teams bracket come tournament time!

Has Hammons secured her place as the full-time OH2?

I just hope they get over the hump. It seems throughout the years with Marcie Hampton and company, Murphy and company and then this past years with Holston and Ahlassan and company, they've had some early exits (or exited earlier than expected).

Impressive career to date no matter what way you slice it. As for whether or not the Gators are the best team in the nation right now, I'd simply say that like all teams, they are a work in progress and have a lot of room for improvement between now and hopefully mid to late December.

Florida's twitter feed is advertising something exciting! Apparently it's something no other venue has... Here's the tweet. I was already excited about this Florida/Florida State matchup, but now I'm reaaaally excited!

Some awkward play from the MBs tonight. EEK. Hey Double, while most on VT genuinely appreciate thoughtful analysis and perspectives about teams and players, I'm not sure what to make of your take about Florida's middles? No, they didn't have their best offensive match against Lipscomb, but Ms. Alhassan was a blocking machine. Bigger bottom line is that the Gators won 3-1 and are now 7-0. Not sure I'd call it trolling yet, but as people wiser than me have always counseled, it's best to take your own hide to market and worry about Mick's crew. The Gators and Gator fans everywhere are thrilled with the middle group of Alhassan, Kramer, Kellum and King and believe that this foursome is as strong or stronger than any group in the nation, off offensive night or not. There are lots of ways to win and the Gators fortunately have A LOT of options.

It will look cool on TV but if you are anywhere near Gainesville Tuesday night, get to the O'Connell Center and be prepared to be amazed!

Ahhh I'll be there without a doubt. I'll probably even leave work a little early to make sure I get my spot!

Heck, Hawk an entire day passed between Double's post and my reply. Fortunately for Texas, Ms. Rounsaville is WAY quicker than me!

I was commenting live, during a sequence of whiifs, misconnections, and several awful blocks that even the homer commentators were mystified to explain. Yes, I am an SC fan, but to belittle my fair and honest comments about a period of poor play of the UF middles is unfounded. Read my criticism of USC for the past 4 weeks, and you will see that comments are objective. You actually define the term "troll" with you insipid responses to my posts. Get a life.

First, nothing in your comment was specific to any part of the match. Second, there is a Florida-Lipscomb match thread and that would have been an appropriate place to place your running, inappropriate, commentary. Third, you are now officially a troll. Stay on your campaign to oust Mick and pumping up the Fighting Laniers.
