I was skeptical about Cheyenne last year and whether or not she’d ever see the court. Boy am I happy to be proven wrong. She’s doing so much better than I hoped. She’s a beast of a blocker! 8 blocks in three sets makes the phrase "difference maker" seem like an understatement. It's nice to have so many of them on one team! Go Gators

First time this season the Gators did not look good defensively or at the service line. They also have had quite a few brain farts closing out sets, took 6 tries to win the match. LSU is def improves and it was a sweep, but it wasn’t pretty. Carli was terrific, all around she’s playing as good as any one right now. So many ways she can impact the match

Paige has a lot of potential, and I think with the UF coaching staff her and Hall next year can be two young studs on the pins similar to Texas this year.

Not 2017 news, but Florida has picked up a setter in the 2020 class.
Camille Hendrickson, a 6-2 setter from Springfield Juniors.
For 2020, that makes...
6'3 RS Francesca McBride 6'2 S Camille Hendrickson DS Elizabeth McKissock OH Sofia Victoria (Pilar's younger sister)

Questions for fellow Gator fans about next season (though there is still plenty of season left for 2017):
With Alhassan departing, does the offense open back up for options like the terminal Thayer Hall or are we still a middle first offense?
Does King finally get the start or does RS senior Kellum beat her out?
Do Greer and Sokolowski continue to battle for the L2 front row spot or does Mary continue to let Hammons swing away?
Does Greer transfer for lack of consistent opportunities?
How does 6'5 Dooley factor in? Does she immediately redshirt?
Does Warner automatically start on the right side (being a lefty) or does Sokolowski start because of experience while Warner gets touches until she's comfortable?
Does Gregory start at libero or does Fischer beat her out?
Does younger Monserez redshirt her first season? Or does she take over for older Monserez who has had a string of double contacts lately?
Does Mary Wise continue to run the 5-2, or does Huskey become an elite defender who can play backrow as well?
Does Hall play six rotations right out of the gate, or does Mary Wise attempt to take the pressure off of an early trip to Nebraska by having her play only the front row?
Does Kramer become the M2 or M1?
How far will the defensive numbers drop off with CK, Snyder and Alhassan leaving?
Will the Florida setters run more tempo to the outsides?
Alright, I think that's all I had.

With Alhassan departing, does the offense open back up for options like the terminal Thayer Hall or are we still a middle first offense? Hall is a difference maker. If she has work ethic she will be an immediate impact player. She will be the go to and similar to Edmond or Caesar freshman campaign. Complete Stud if Head is screwed on tight. Natl FOY Candidate
Does King finally get the start or does RS senior Kellum beat her out? King
Do Greer and Sokolowski continue to battle for the L2 front row spot or does Mary continue to let Hammons swing away? It will be a battle but Hammond passing may put her over the top. Especially if you have sub issues running a 6-2
Does Greer transfer for lack of consistent opportunities? That’s a personal issue on whether she likes the school. New scholarship rules mean they can’t take her schollie
How does 6'5 Dooley factor in? Does she immediately redshirt? Probably
Does Warner automatically start on the right side (being a lefty) or does Sokolowski start because of experience while Warner gets touches until she's comfortable? Warner is talented and lefty but it’s very hard to start immediately as a freshman for a Top 10 team. I’d say Soko to start with.
Does Gregory start at libero or does Fischer beat her out? I don’t see that happening. The competition for DS time will be fierce and there are many candidates. The ones with the drive and focus will be on the court.
Does younger Monserez redshirt her first season? Or does she take over for older Monserez who has had a string of double contacts lately? Setting has never been a priority at UF. That will continue. Younger Monserez is good but not a needle mover (aka Lilley). Can you imagine if UF had ML?
Does Mary Wise continue to run the 5-2, or does Huskey become an elite defender who can play backrow as well? That would be ideal but I think “elite defender” is a stretch. “Adequate RS off net and Back Right defense” is probably the goal.
Does Hall play six rotations right out of the gate, or does Mary Wise attempt to take the pressure off of an early trip to Nebraska by having her play only the front row? I think she does but that option is always available for a freshman OH. More likely we just take our lumps when she has sporadic S/R issues.
Does Kramer become the M2 or M1? Not sure it matters much with14 subs. Maybe coach preference and match ups.
How far will the defensive numbers drop off with CK, Snyder and Alhassan leaving? Far. Very far initially.
the Florida setters run more tempo to the outside? Probably

She will need to open offense to the pin hitters and still going to Kramer in the middle. Does King finally get the start or does RS senior Kellum beat her out? I think Wise gives Kellum an opportunity but King will win out. Do Greer and Sokolowski continue to battle for the L2 front row spot or does Mary continue to let Hammons swing away? Again, the opportunity will be there for both Greer and Sokolowski but Hammons will win out. Does Greer transfer for lack of consistent opportunities? Be surprised if she did not. If she does it will be a loss for the Gators. How does 6'5 Dooley factor in? Does she immediately redshirt? She is starting school early so never say never. Does Warner automatically start on the right side (being a lefty) or does Sokolowski start because of experience while Warner gets touches until she's comfortable? If Soko pulls what she did this year Warner will be starting sooner rather than later. Does Gregory start at libero or does Fischer beat her out? I cannot wait to see that battle. Does younger Monserez redshirt her first season? Or does she take over for older Monserez who has had a string of double contacts lately? I think with her height she works her way in with Huskey. Does Mary Wise continue to run the 5-2, or does Huskey become an elite defender who can play backrow as well? Still play 5-2 Does Hall play six rotations right out of the gate, or does Mary Wise attempt to take the pressure off of an early trip to Nebraska by having her play only the front row? Time will tell Does Kramer become the M2 or M1? M! How far will the defensive numbers drop off with CK, Snyder and Alhassan leaving? Somewhat but nothing to major Will the Florida setters run more tempo to the outsides? I hope so. I think with Hall, Hammons, Warner they can do that Alright, I think that's all I had.

I can't see Hall being a 3 rotation player.

I can't see Hall being a 3 rotation player. I agree with you but it will take some getting used to for a freshman.

So a couple of you guys (or gals) said that you think they'll run more tempo to the outsides next year. I just hate that they're not doing it this year. They've done it a couple times with Snyder but it's usually when they're in a rut and need something new to switch it up. The only time I've seen them do it in transition was a fast inside set to Snyder when Kramer jumped and held the middle. With Huskey being a longer setter (meaning she holds the ball in her hands longer than Monserez), is it maybe that she struggles controlling a fast tempo set?
