Huskey was a setter in HS just not the only setter. They ran a 6-2 quite a bit As for OH for next year i dont see Greer in the picture as a starter. Maybe i am wrong but she has been backup nearly all season and the number one recruit coming in along with Mia could have her on the bench again next year. She could maybe shift to RS next year but you also have Warner coming in and Mia as well in the mix. Greer hasn't gotten the chances because she's Carli's backup. She's usually put in late in matches as a "we really don't have a choice, let's hope Carli doesn't go down" option. If there's anyone who has shown an ounce of consistency in the front row, it's Greer. She has some decent matches last year, At Oregon specifically. With 2017 Mia looking like 2016 Shainah, maybe the right side is truly best for her.

Accurate. I agree, with a few modifications. OH1 -- Hall, no brainer OH 2 -- I'm predict Greer will get her chance to breakout (unless she transfers), with Hammons in for backrow, and staying in if Greer struggles. Neither Soko or Greer have been major terminators, but Greer has done better and brings more fire. We'll also see how Hammons looks after an offseason of weight training. M1 -- Kramer is really an M2 (not the best on a slide but they also don't need to use it as much), but I can see her moving to the M1. The only benefit of keeping her in the M2 is to take pressure off/give good looks to a freshman RS. M2 -- I think Mary might give the early nod to her senior, but a highly touted King has been waiting patiently. I can see this being like the 96 season when it was MB by committee. Nina Foster was the lock (see: Kramer), but Jones and Stanhope flip-flopped. The better defender/slide attacker should get the nod. RS -- If Warner can rise the the challenge she should be the lock. Soko should move to back-up. They could also modify their "5-2" with a 6-2 when Huskey is an option to attack (though like with Detering and PSU I can see her getting limited swings). L -- It's Gregory's to lose. She could end up being a DS all 4 years if one of the freshman prove to be a better passer. But, I'd count on her in the L jersey. S -- A Mons/Huskey should split time again (see above note). They will need Huskey's block, and Mons is a back row asset defensively and at the service line, and a stabilizer when setting. I'd bank on little sis redshirting. I don't like talking much about next year when there's still hopefully so much to happen this year, but here's what I project: OH1: Hall (6 rotations) - Fr. OH2: Greer (Hammons plays back row; we'll keep the constant back row attacking option) - Jr./So. RS: Warner - Fr. MB1: Kramer - Jr. MB2: King - RS So. L: Gregory - Jr. DS: Fischer - Fr. S: A. Monserez/Huskey - RS Sr./Jr. We'll need Huskey to keep blocking with Alhassan and Joseph leaving. Hopefully Kramer keeps improving as well. Kellum will likely be relegated to the bench her whole career. I foresee whoever the better blocker is winning out between her and King. With that said, I don't think there's much of a gap at all between Kramer and King's offense and hers. If one of them has an off day, then Kellum will be in the match quickly. M. Monserez will likely redshirt and potentially not play much in 2019 either if Huskey keeps improving (remember, Cheyenne's setting experience is minimal so there's opportunity for exponential improvement) Dooley - I foresee her taking much the same path as M. Monserez. Redshirt in 2018 and not play much in 2019 as she waits for Kramer to graduate. Young team, but that group, minus A. Monserez, will have 2 years together to gel.

It's interesting reading this thread from the very beginning Dec 2016 until now. So many wrong predictions mainly about Joseph and Kramer. I'm happy for Joseph extremely impressed with her senior season. She looks comfortable and she looks like she's finally having fun.

Greer has improved and won’t go anywhere imho. She is stronger, has an improved swing and has added shots to her repertoire. . She hits hard and will play continue to more!

Both will be All-SEC in some form or fashion. Who would of thought that they would play a important role in possibly a championship run?

I had a chance to watch Greer in HS and club and expected her to do well in college. Watching her I thought this is the type of kid that would be perfect for Corbelli's system at TAMU. I expected to watch her for at least three years at Florida but haven't.
I don't see her getting much playing time at Florida. She is not starting now and Hall is really good incoming player along with Warner on the RS.
What makes people think she will win a job next season over 2 top 10 players that are incoming freshman? I am honestly curious
I love to see Texas kids excel at the next level but sometimes you pick a school and because of the talent level you are a back up for a while. See Butler at Texas but you also have the chance to play for championships both conference and nationally

I guess I understand why people doubted Kramer before her Freshman season. It's mind boggling that some posters still didn't think she'd play her sophomore year after the amazing year she had in 2016.

Some people don't understand how much more difficult D1 vs. HS really is. Physically and mentally, hard for me to assume any freshman will start. In a good program, it shouldn't be super easy to start as a FR.

Edit *2-time Gatorade State POY - oops, but it was nice they thought she should've been awarded freshman year as well.

My one true gripe about this year is that Thayer Hall does not get a full season of play with Carli Snyder. Not so much in the aspect of having a dynamic duo on the left side (though that would be nice), but more about Snyder mentoring Hall on how to affect every facet of the game.
