Shadow of Mordor Dammit! This is a game I dominate in all phases due to my utter mastery through experience and repetition. However, I just got killed twice in quick succession. Both times, I was ganged up by THREE -- not one, not two, but THREE -- Captains. And both times, I was too cocky to leave the fight even though the #1 rule in Shadow of Mordor is "Run away when your health is low. Fight another day." i have faith that you can bounce back and thrash them soundly

Playing Horizon Zero Dawn right now. I love the story line and Graphics/world, but not a fan of the gameplay. Will finish it though. Also playing the new god of war, and Im obsessed with it. God of War always delivers i thought that horizon zero dawn was one of the best games i've ever played. i didn't skip a single cut scene.
i also liked the new god of war. took a lot of practice to adapt to the new combat style.

I’ve gotten father in the game and I’m liking it more and more. I’m finally used to the controls so it’s becoming more fun lol

The only thing that make me hesitate about God of War is that it's not an open world game. I get the feeling that all the cool skills and weapons will be acquired in the later parts of the game and thus, I won't be able to go to town as much as I want. It was like that with Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider. All the cool weapons and skills came near the end and I didn't get to thoroughly enjoy them.

i still hate this game. the combat feels unfair, unlike the dark souls games

have to take a break and let my controller recharge I've connected my controller to my PS4 console with a 12-15-ft cable for the past several years. It's been recharging every time I turn on the machine. I think I even forgot it has to recharge. Originally, I didn't buy the cable for this set-up. I bought it because I didn't want to wait that long for the controller to recharge. I just wanted to play instantly. But I think I forgot to unplug it all this time.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Very complicated menu options. It's always like this with me and video games as I try to familiarize myself with everything.
Combat is different. There's the standard light (fast) strike and heavy (slow) strike but when you incorporate magic (or "signs," I guess they call it), I'm going to have to get a better feel for what they are and when is the best time to use them. The magic spells all use foreign terminology. I have to press the L1 button to call up the magic menu, then use the left stick to activate a magic. But before I even select the sign, I have to take the time to read what they are. I'll probably get killed in the heat of battle while trying to decide which signs to use.
There are also various potions. Not even sure how to use them yet.
And don't get me started on crafting.
Very complex and layered game. But then again, I thought Shadow of Mordor and Horizon Zero Dawn were complicated. It only took a few hours of gameplay and I figured everything out.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Now I know what all the elements of the HUD are. The problem with some tutorials is they give basic movement and combat lessons but nothing on the HUD, like, what the hell is that bar and those three square thingys?
And I would also like to know, in advance, what are the consequences of death? In Just Cause series, it's nothing. In the Borderlands series, it's a certain % of your money. In Shadow of Mordor, Captains get stronger. In Dying Light, you lose Survivor points which means it'll take you longer to level up in the Survivor tree.
