I'm downloading God of War today. I don't know if I'll have time to actually play it though.

I hadn't played any of the earlier games, and God of War was still my Game of the Year in 2018, which is really saying something considering that Spiderman PS4 and Red Dead Redemption 2 were released the same year. At this point, I actually have zero interest in playing the earlier games.

have you played any of the earlier versions? No. the combat systems are completely different. the early versions were button-smashers. loads of fun. could just wreck enemies.
when they did the re-boot, combat became much more complicated. the learning curve was steep, but well worth it

I require only the following to thoroughly enjoy games: 1. Incredibly violent, e.g., Shadow of Mordor, Dying Light 2. Great combat controls w/ effects 3. No need for puzzles. I like puzzles, sure, I'm an engineer. But I prefer to spend my time killing bad guys. 4. A great story is not necessary. 5. Great visuals, e.g., Horizon Zero Dawn.

God of War is definitely violent 2. It has great combat controls, though there is a bit of a learning curve 3. There are some puzzles, though I don't think they're that difficult to solve 4. The story is one of the best in history of video games in my opinion, especially with the outstanding character development 5. It has unquestionably some of the best graphics of the PS4 era, and it's arguably the best-looking PS4 game overall

God of War
Now downloading...
I had to update my PSN account credit card info. I had forgotten all my passwords so I had to look it up in my little "black book."

I've got the PS4 theme music going on in the background while I download the game. I find this theme music quite soothing. Mind you, I'm not a fan of New Age type music but this one is very pleasant and tranquil...

I haven't played anything in over a month, but I'm going to try to get back to Mass Effect 3 or Yakuza: Like a Dragon soon.
