Also, I fired up MTG Arena to discover new changes to the banned and suspended list. In that game, you can redeem "wild cards" for any card of the corresponding rarity. Rare and mythic rare wild cards are fairly hard to come by, so it was a nice surprise to get seven wild cards for my copies of the two cards that were banned. One of them was a card I've never used, so those are just free. The other one was a card that I had already used four wild cards on, but it's one of the most powerful cards ever printed, so I figured I would either get to keep playing with it or get my wild cards back when it got banned. It had already been suspended (at which point it can either be banned a bit later or reinstated to the format) months ago, so this wasn't a surprise.

Has anyone played Divinity: Original Sin 2? I just learned today that it's a turn-based RPG rather than action. I'm now interested in potentially playing it.

So, Gloomhaven is out of "early access" and the board game campaign is available. I'm enjoying it. It has more of a plot than I expected from a game that is, at its core, a turn-based tactics game.

Gloomhaven campaign is more complicated than I had realized, in a good way.
The first mission is locked in -- a merchant sends you to clear out a dungeon. However, you learn that there is a second, linked mission (the lower level of the dungeon). Once you clear that out, she gives you a couple more missions.
But then you get a message that she's actually bad news. You can still do another mission for her, or you can do a mission against her. I decided to do the mission where I investigated her, and that led to her fleeing and me getting a whole chain of missions to find her. Also the mission she wanted me to do disappeared.
But I understand that if you do the mission for her instead, you get a whole different chain of missions.

I finally picked up Yakuza: Like a Dragon again, and I was having a hard time remembering what I hadn't done yet. It looks like I had done nearly all of the side missions, but I discovered one that I had missed earlier. I think I'm about to start the endgame sequence of missions.

stayed up far too late last night and got to the final boss area for control. it is at least 3 combat arenas. i can get through the 1st 2 areas with zero difficulty. the 3rd has, thus far, been way harder

Gloomhaven message boards are currently a huge culture clash between fans of the board game complaining that the video game isn't EXACTLY the same (it's very close), and buyers of the video game complaining that the devs really need to rebalance or change things (mostly make it easier to learn and to play).

I have heard that the PS4 version of GoT had some really long loading times. Apparently the PS5 version basically looks and plays about the same as the PS4 version but has almost no loading times.
