bought animal crossing the other day if anyone has any tips and tricks LOL I needed a game to passively play New horizons? Game was hella fun during covid. I think I have over 100+ hours on it. I got a couple rare villagers at the end of my playthrough. I must have restarted my game after 10 hours and since my layout wasn't ideal. Some tips though. -Try to keep the resident services in the center of the island -find a map that has very little ponds, etc. -plant money trees ugh I put one of ny residents houses way too close to mine when the game first loaded and regret it immensely. I also picked an island with like a mini island inside of it… oops🤦🏻♂️ I guess there’s only a couple ponds though. I have been planting money trees though! I didn’t even know it was a thing for my first couple days but figured it out

I never played it, but I wonder how fun it would be if none of your friends are also playing it.

New Horizons is the 2nd most sold switch game behind Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and not far behind either.. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe -- 33.41 million Animal Crossing: New Horizons -- 31.18 million

You can move villager houses (or your own house) later - you just have to wait until Resident Services gets upgraded to a building. Tom Nook will of course charge you an insanely large number of bells to do so, but if there's one thing Nook knows how to do, it's take your money.... Haven't played in ages but think I need to pay my island a visit again this afternoon.

i finally bought a PS5. since the only gaming systems i have are a switch and a PS2, i felt it was finally time lol Time to play Final Fantasy Rebirth I wish I was more excited about FF7 Rebirth, but FF7 Remake was a bit of a letdown. They never should have let the Kingdom Hearts guy be in charge.

I never played Animal Crossing. I heard that Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has an Animal Crossing-style minigame that is very good. This isn't too surprising, as Yakuza games have always placed an emphasis on minigames. The business management minigame in Yakuza: Like a Dragon was really good.

I just saw a video where they explained that the way you gain new skills and abilities is by buying yourself a short vacation where you have experiences and then imagine yourself using it in combat. Which is just kind of bizarre.

BG3 just released a new patch, and there are a *lot* of complaints about game-breaking new bugs.
The big headline for the patch was that it was a Valentine's Day update, and they included new unique kissing mechanics for all (or at least most of) the NPCs. If you are in a romance with a character, when the romance progresses enough you can walk up to them and ask for a kiss, and they will give you one. But this was kind of an awkward sort of peck on the lips, not something that looked especially sensual.
I fired up the game again with the new patch and went to Lae'zel (who was my romance partner in that save). I asked her for a kiss and she ... well, she sort of contorted herself in an awkward-looking manner and seemed to do something that looked like a kiss ... about 1 meter away from my character. Like, WTF? This was literally the headline feature added for the new patch, and it seems busted.
And it's not just that, but also serious game-breaking bugs that some people are reporting. Like, certain quests being impossible or other quests suddenly making everyone you meet hostile to you.
I have heard that the studio is mostly working on their future products right now, so I kind of wonder if this new patch is the result of the B-team being handed the reins or something like that.

Time to play Final Fantasy Rebirth is it a turn based game? i bought tekken 8, MK1, GTA V, and injustice 2. gonna do some research on what rpg i should purchase Final Fantasy Rebirth won't make sense if you don't play Final Fantasy 7 Remake first. And it's only the second part of the trilogy, so you'll have to wait until whenever the third game comes out. Anyway, the original game was pseudo-turn based (if you do nothing when it's your turn to act, enemies will keep attacking you unless you change the settings). The new ones have real-time combat, but it's not an especially deep combat system. It's servicable. Anyway, for RPGs, I'd recommend Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, which routinely goes on sale for like $12 on PSN, though it's not on sale right now. Final Fantasy XV is one of my favorites in the series. Final Fantasy X also looks really good for what is originally a PS2 game, and it has a great story. God of War and God of War: Ragnarok aren't technically RPGs, but they have a lot of the same elements, and they're among the best games available on any system. Ghost of Tsushima is similarly an action game with RPG elements, and it's great. Spiderman is a great game. I haven't played the second one because it's PS5 only. Uncharted 2, 3 and 4 are all very good action-adventure games with great stories, as is the original The Last of Us. I'm not sure if you've already played GTA V or not, but it's a great game. Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2 were also made by Rockstar, and they're great too.

Which is just kind of bizarre. Yeah, I heard about that. "Kind of bizarre" describes the Yakuza games in general, but they work. The job system in the first game was a little more straightforward. You start the game right after getting released from a lengthy prison sentence. Your early party members are similarly unemployed, so you go to the temp agency to get jobs for a main story mission, and then you also use the temp agency to change jobs whenever you want.

Wasn't it most of the original team? I much rather they work on their baby even if it wasn't perfect than it be anything like the latest FF games.

I much rather they work on their baby even if it wasn't perfect than it be anything like the latest FF games. I'm not sure how much of the original team was involved, but the Kingdom Hearts guy was the director. There is a lot of what I call "Kingdom Hearts garbage" in that game. I mean, the original story is convoluted enough without adding Kingdom Hearts nonsense. For the record, I actually like Kingdom Hearts, but it's not because of the story. I find the gameplay pretty fun, and I enjoy the Disney worlds. But the main story was always the worst part. I didn't even bother finishing KH3 once I completed the last Disney world. Anyway, the first like third or so of FF7 Remake is great. I think it falls apart toward the end of the game, though, which is why I'm not very excited. If Rebirth was available on PS4, I'm sure I'd play it once the price comes down. Since it's not, I'll have to wait until I either get a PS5 or it gets ported to PC. I'm in no hurry either way. As for Final Fantasy 16, I haven't played that either for the same reason.

I have never understood what "Kingdom Hearts" is. I mean, I know it's some weird crossover of Final Fantasy and Disney characters, but that's about all I know.

I mean, that's pretty much it, though much more emphasis on Disney than Final Fantasy. The main character is accompanied by Donald and Goofy throughout the series. And depending on what Disney world you're in, you can swap one out for that world's character (Aladdin, Ariel, Simba, Hercules, etc.). The Final Fantasy characters are kind of there for some of the cutscenes, and some of them are bosses, but they don't play that big of a role in the gameplay.
