Iowa right now is not in good shape on the bubble. They currently are 0-10 against the Top 25, 1-3 vs teams 26-50. I agree with bprtbone, to have a shot, 1-1 this next weekend is a must. Ohio State, who they've beaten twice is just outside the Top 50. If they were to swing into the Top 50, maybe, but as of today, Iowa would be out. Per the current RPI (I'm not sure if you're looking at Futures instead) OSU is #42, so technically we're 3-3 against #26-50. Yup, I was using a different model that has them at #51 and not #42, but with 42, you are correct. They still need that signature Top 25 win, so that Illinois match will be big for them. Illinois is sitting at #29 in the site I'm looking at, but actually #28 overall. Ohio State is now without Hughes, so you have to be hoping they pull off some good wins to stay in the Top 50 for Iowa.

It’s pretty much do or bust this week to take one on the Illini or Huskers home floor.

Some key notes from a history making season!
1. The 2016-2017 back to back winning seasons is the first time since 1986-1990 we’ve had back to back winning seasons.
2. Annika Olsen, Jess Janota, and Taylor Louis earning a trio of B1G honors is the first time three Hawkeyes have been honored since 1989.
3. Olsen will land 5th all-time in career digs (and to think, we only had her for three years!) and Jess Janota will tank 16th in career kills.
We graduate 5- Annika Olsen, Jess Janota, Kelsey O’Neill, Kasey Reuter, and Taylin Alm. Good luck in all your future endeavors and thank you for your contributions to the program.
And with a hopeful look to the future this wraps the 2017 Iowa Hawkeye season!

Didn’t see an Iowa 2018 thread. Figured I’d let one of you Iowa regulars kick that off formally. But I did see this on Twitter today. Meghan Buzzerio’s little sister Courtney has committed to the Hawkeyes for 2018. She’s a 6-5 S/RS who’d originally committed to Indiana. Super solid pickup for Bond.

I’ll start one up soon, just waited for a couple ?’s to settle themselves out before starting a thread. This is a very helpful get for Iowa as we struggled only having one setter in the gym last season. This will provide much needed depth, and the size can’t hurt either!

I wonder what happened for her to switch, she already signed her NLI to Indiana? Obvious choice is coaching change, does she not trust Aird to stick around now? iuhoosiers.com/news/2017/11/8/womens-volleyball-hoosiers-sign-exceptional-2018-class.aspx

Well Little Buzz wouldn’t exactly be appropriate considering she might be towering over her big sister! Either way, glad to have her in Iowa City!

My kid has played against Courtney for years. She is a really big block to get around on the RS that can be very frustrating for a hitter. She has a nice high reach when hitting that you just can't coach and will be able to produce some nice angles for Iowa. She also has done a great job running an offense for T-street when she had the chance to set in both in a 5-1 and 6-2. I think she is at Coast now?? My guess is she will have nice success for Iowa and I would say a very good get! Also her work ethic and personality from an outsider seems great. Wish her the best!
