As much as I love Kerri as a player Sara should stick with Kelli at this point. This situation is way different then May, Holly and Walsh. Walsh was playing in the Olympics indoor when Misty invited her to come to the beach. Misty and Kerri were one year apart in age and could grow together. Sara should grow with Kelli. Do think they should try to get Marcio for a coach however. Man do rumors fly on this page. Why couldnt she go back to Kelly later? Who is to say Kelly ever develops into more than a faster Fopma? The only certain thing is that Kelly is not close to as good as either April or Kerri right now Also why does everyone think Marcio is an incredible coach? His most famous client went to the tournament they oriented all their training towards and played extremely poorly. She was mentally unprepared for an event she won 3 times previously. In another sport the coach would get fired for that. The team he coached never gelled very well, winning mostly on talent and not winning nearly as much as you would expect given the talent of the two players involved. The side switching after years together was effectively an admission that he had done a poor job.

April wanted no part of switching sides, that I do know for a fact. She did not want it 4 years ago and she didn't want it this offseason.

When is USC's graduation? Isn't there some rule about college athletes competing outside of college competition while still in school?

Kelly and Sara registered in Rio What are the rules to switch partners after registering? Walsh-Jennings has seem to run out of options for the weekend of Rio/Austin. Pavlik? Walsh-Jennings was able to get Rachel Walcholder to the top of the podium.....would she be able to do the same for Pavlik?

May 12, 2017 Graduation doesn't matter. The NCAA rules only apply until they have completed their NCAA eligibility. That will be this Sunday (unless they decide they want to use their 5th year playing indoors, which is extremely unlikely).

Hughes would be a fool not to go with Walsh. I've been saying it for months. Regardless of what happens with their partnership down the road, I don't see how she couldn't go for it with a partner with Walsh's resume.

The Pro's: FIVB points, increased visibility, and while Walsh is no longer the best player in the world (or even in the U.S), she is still a very skilled player and force at the net. The Con's: partnering with an aging, injury prone player who is currently at war with the only viable domestic tour in the U.S., and who has a very, um, difficult personality to deal with as a partner. Hughes is a big girl and can make her own decisions, but if she is interested in exploring options without Claes, in her shoes I would call April before Kerri.

That sir, was a superb diplomatic answer. Bravo

I think it could have been more accurately stated that she would be a fool to stay with Claes. April and Kerri are both much better bets
