Kiselica just graduated this past spring from Temple and is now acting head coach? Maybe he also give pole-dancing classes?

No hot seat at Providence; longtime coach and the Friars are trending up with the increasing scholarships.

Yes, unfortunately Mark at YSU was let go and not in a very professional way. The administration isn't honoring those verbals, so those kids that have certainly passed on other opportunities are in very undeserved situations. Hopefully, those student-athletes can find other programs still in need of 2018 players at their respective positions. And, hopefully, Mark can find another coaching position at a quality institution because he is a super person and a quality coach. prepvolleyball and richkern list no committed athletes for Youngstown State. Does anyone want to share who these kids are that are suddenly available? Well my kido was one of them... gave a verbal to YSU the end of her soph year.. was the local university and got along well with Coach... so shut down her recruiting... and now we are a bit behind the 8 ball to say the least... we are trying to scrap up some game film now to get an update video... any one who needs a 6’ OH quick off her feet and decent arm swing let me know... Also taking recommendations on showcases were she can get some looks...

No one has any news about what happened to Ian and Katelyn at UMBC?!?! Fake news. UMBC site hasn't even posted anything about it happening. Other than the coaches page, there is no mention of it anywhere in their recent news stories. So I guess it is a non-story when you let go of your head coach and assistant with a couple weeks to go in the season.

Creighton Marquette Xavier St John's DePaul are all full funded in scholarships I believe. Seton Hall Butler are at 11 I think Georgetown and Villanova less, maybe 9? and then providence didn't have any until they came back into the big east 3 years ago, but are on their gradual way to 12. I know its a mixed bag on who has full time staff as well.

Josh taking Villanova to an at-large bid with 9 scholarships is one of the great coaching feats of the last decade.

Re: Akron - That's not what I heard back in September. A lot of stress going into his coaching because word is going around that he has to make something happen or he is gone. Neurotic, paranoia, and definitely playing everything safe and I think his record shows it. 24 wins in 3 seasons, and majority of those wins happening in early September for 2 of the 3 seasons. Last this year in conference, tied for last last year, yada yada. After those facts, karellen how is Tom fine? I am not saying that you are wrong, but there are rumors and facts to back up those rumors so him being on the hot seat not only makes sense, but is 100% a discussion circling in/out of that program. Um...does Akron know they are Akron? Not exactly a school or location kids grow up wanting to attend. Tom works his butt off. Good luck to Akron finding a coach that will succeed at that place. Tell that to PJ Fleck when he was at Western Michigan. Every coach works their butt off, give me a break. Akron has been close to a .500 record in the past. That may be the best they can do which is a long way from what Tom has done or is likely to do any time soon. I am aware of the troubling culture he was trying to turn around, but he is a factor in the continuation of it all. He will NOT turn this program around even if you give him 3 more years. Another coach is likely to continue his failures because to Hack's point, it is Akron and it is going to take a lot to make it successful, but against your point - it will take more than just "working his butt off."

It's kind of nuts - not even the barest minimum of a press release acknowledging the change.
