Hello boys and girls,

ToddyJ trainermch txnut volleykenzie vup WahineFan44 williams I guess there's no reason to wait till September 8, 2020 to transfer over to our new meeting place. We can do it now. Once you've done the homework to my satisfaction, you'll get a PM which contains:
1. A link to the new forum,
2. A special CODEPHRASE unique to you (which I came up with on my own), which you should include in the message box during registration. This is separate from the password you will set up when you register your ID and password. That ID and password, you create yourself. The CODEPHRASE is something separate that I'm going to give you that you should include in the message box, just so I'll know that it's you (and only you). The CODEPHRASE is just to assure me that you are who you say you are. The separate ID and password during registration is something between you and the new forum's host. I wouldn't even know that password.
After receiving this PM, do the following steps:
1. Go to the new forum. This forum is separate from VT. They're mutually exclusive. No one from VT can read stuff in the new forum unless they're a member of our little super secret committee.
2. Register with an ID and password. Try to use the same username that you're using here on VT so that I won't be confused. Again, the password is something you come up with on your own. In one of the registration steps, you'll encounter a message box. Enter the CODEPHRASE that I gave you.
3. Be patient and wait. You will not get automatic access to the forum. I must personally approve your account.
4. Within a day, I will approve your account and you should receive an email with an activation link. Click on that link in the email and you'll have access to the site. Alternatively, the email will also give you an activation code. You can use this activation code by going to the new forum separately and entering the code.
I want to stress the importance of the CODEPHRASE. It's something I set up myself. To repeat, it's not your password that you come up with on your own during registration. It's a CODEPHRASE like "Wolfgang likes banana splits" that you should insert into the message box. Normally, during registration, people write little informal messages like, "Hey Wolfgang, it's me, Kimberly from high school!" something like this that you might include when you make a "FRIEND" request in Facebook or Follow someone on IG/Twitter (actually, I don't know if IG/Twitter has this "message box" feature). Use this CODEPHRASE in the message box so that I'll know it's you. Right now, you don't know what the CONDEPHRASE is because I haven't given it to you yet. It'll be something silly but it'll be unique to you. I'm making a list. If you get confused, let me know via PM here on VT.
So, those of you who already did the homework, you'll get a PM from me shortly, within a day, if not tonight. Right now, I need to do some errands.
Oh, before I forget, I'd like to share with you my vision for the All-VolleyTalk Awards Committee and the new forum where we'll be meeting permanently as soon as all members have done the homework. I wrote this in the new forum but I want you to read it here, too:
I see the committee as a slowly evolving one which will look a lot different after a few years, perhaps not even resembling what it is now. The new forum gives us a permanent place from which to do our work, without interference from other VT peeps. This is the first year of the committee so, naturally, we're just learning the ropes and feeling our way here. We will make some mistakes as we sort of stumble along to get our work done. By the end of 2020, you'll have a better understanding of how this committee works, all the mistakes you made, and hopefully, how you can change to do better next time. Now, for the first year, I made it easy for you by not giving you any time-consuming and burdensome duties and responsibilities. I made almost all the decisions myself, including nomination procedure, voting system, and whatnot, and simply had you agree to them via a vote. Beginning in 2021, however, I'll pass off this responsibility to you via subcommittees, e.g., voting, nomination, award structure, future plans. If you like, we may even expand the scope of our task to give out Awards for other things, perhaps even non-Award stuff. It's all up to you. This is our own little secret society, our Star Chamber, so do whatever you think the committee should do. You may also use the new forum to keep personal notepads and other super secret data that you want hidden from prying VT eyes, given that, of course, other members of the committee may be able to read them. LOL!
See you there!
Wolfgang
