Aird's transfer was approved. Maybe Hunter would have the same luck...

Payton Caffrey to FSU per her social media Chris Poole has problems evaluating OH's..this player was in his backyard for years...wasn't good enough then..now all of a sudden lets a OH go(B. Culo)..and replaces her with a player he didn't believe was good enough 2 years ago...FSU will be a good team..but until he decides to really recruit OH's hard..will never consistently threaten top 10..

To be fair, I don’t think anyone realized the impact she was going to have her freshman campaign. So she’s not really the best example to use in criticizing his recruiting methods.

It’s more of an example of the overall flawed recruiting system based solely on the technicals. Anyone that watched the Open level for this age group develop from 12-18 years old knew Payton would make an impact at the college level. Absolutely a no brainer. So I would say your statement is correct in that it shouldn’t be applied just to Poole, but very incorrect when saying “I don’t think anyone realized...”.

She had a “good birthday” and her and Shields (killing it at SC) used that to their advantage in club.

LOL - why is this directed at Chris? Caffrey had like two major offers (according to others). At least Chris can get her on campus now. Are you criticizing him for "letting" Culo transfer? She barely sniffed the front row but was a very good back row option for them. The college ranks are littered with similar recruiting "misses," but you want to make this about one guy. Hmm....

Recurring/long term injury. It's become a quality of life concern, so she is retiring. Damn. I loved watching Taylor Hughes attack.

Of the 99 Senior Aces from the HS class of 2014 that just graduated, a full THIRTY-TWO(!!!!) transferred schools, or otherwise quit or medically retired prior to 4 years of play. That's the first time a class has broken 30 since I've been monitoring.
The class of 2015 is currently at 24; however, there's still a lot of offseason left and several rumored departures in that group.

I understand some of these were non-medical. Aiple Boender Eugene Wheatley Stewart (at least I didn't see her pop up anywhere after AU) Kliburn Brown Hutson Lobenstein Flattum For 2015, 5, plus possibly Hughes and Blake. Hodson Wickey Reed Saunders Cram Blake* Hughes*

It's been 1 in 4-ish in recent years. This was a spike. We'll see if it's an outlier or the new normal.
