0-3
I was just watching the Michigan-Nebraska replay and boy oh boy, Nebraska did not know how to play football. Missed tackles, missed blocking assignments, physically overpowered. I didn't watch the Nebraska-Colorado or Nebraska-Troy game highlights. Couldn't have been worse.
How did Nebraska football fall so far? Okay, let's blame the previous regime.

It feels really bizarre to me but I'm not really enjoying it.

Purdue might actually beat RED in Lincoln this weekend ... Nebraska used to pound teams like Purdue 70-6

Purdue already has pulled that off against said previous regime.

Y'all have your fun now. The Huskers will soon be relevant again on the college football landscape.

0-4, the streak continues. Getting blown out in Lincoln by Purdue, no less. They're looking - at best - like a 2-10 team. I neither like or dislike the Husker program, but it is a little sad to watch such a storied program hit rock bottom.
Frost is going to have to recruit his socks off, because right now Nebraska is physically overtmatched by pretty much everyone they play.

I saw the entire Purdue-Nebraska game. Okay, it was one of those Full Game in 40 Minutes videos on youtube where they show you pretty much every play and edit out all the delays. It seemed like Purdue was never in serious trouble. There were some bad calls against Nebraska and one no-call (Purdue pass interference against Nebraska's Stanley Morgan) but, except for the Morgan play, most were in the second half when the outcome was never in doubt. What I came away from the game was that Nebraska's defense bends -- and breaks -- a lot. Also, I'm not impressed with Martinez. Except for one good scramble, his scrambles mostly yield 3-4 yards. Anyway, I'm not a regular Nebraska watcher so feel free to correct me.
On a side note: I love these Full Game in 40 Minutes videos. Have watched several in the past few weeks. Great way to cut over 2 hours per game. The only drawback is that by the 30th minute, I get kind of exhausted -- more so than watching the full game. But I guess it's like going to an art museum. Just 30 minutes and you're fatigued.

Just 30 minutes and you're fatigued. On the Pac-12 network they do these edited games in 60 minutes ... I guess more commercials and sometimes they show replays of "important" plays. But back to Frost. In the glory days of RED football and the BIG 8 they used to recruit heavily out of Texas. I see very few from the Lone Star state on their current roster. Furthermore, I see very few from CA, Florida, and Missouri (where Nebraska also once successfully mined talent). Frost basically has a Willie Sutton problem. Willie robbed banks, "Because that's where the money is". To be fair Frost hasn't been in Lincoln long enough to turn around the recruiting, but the clock is ticking and he'll need to make hay over the next few years. Otherwise, teams like Purdue will come into Lincoln and beat the Huskers like a rented mule.

You got to like this guy, I think he will get it done, but it is going to take 5 years. BIG Football is crazy competitive right now.

He seems honest with a lot of honor and integrity. He doesn't appear to be one of those types who blames everything and everyone else but themselves. Also, I hate coaches who attack the media and, so far, he doesn't seem like that type. Anyway, I liked Frost when he was running the option in the 1990s.

Minnesota was last relevant in college football in the early 1960s. No comment.

Now you know why we love him. He is an outstanding leader and mentor. We have faith. As I recall Gerry Faust was an outstanding leader and mentor, but he didn't last at Notre Dame. His problem: He didn't win enough games. I know RED fans may be more patient than some, but ultimately in power 5 conferences, winning is the bottom line, and if you don't do enough of it you are asked to pack your bags.
