They are actually worse now than they were last year. I can't even believe that that's possible.

This is Frost's first year so I'm assuming he's got a long leash with the AD. At what point is the AD expecting Nebraska to return to its winning ways and if the losing continues in Frost's second year, will there be talk of termination? You have to believe that if Frost was fired at the end of his second year (which I doubt will happen), a new coach won't be able to turn it around that quickly. I'm assuming the AD is committed to Frost for the long haul.

Unless someone is totally inept (when USM went from a winning record to 0-12, for example) or embarrasses the university, I think four years is the minimum, given how football recruiting and redshirting work. Five is more fair, since it gives them a whole cycle of their recruits. Frost's success at UCF shows he is not inept, so he should have plenty of time to turn it around, even though the early returns aren't good.

Good news? The season's (more than?) half way over.
Bad news? (see good news)

I said at the time that they needed more aggressive play calling to try to pick up the first down that would have won the game. Play to win!

I wonder: Had Nebraska hired an "outsider" (someone with no prior connection with Nebraska athletics), would the fans and critics be as forgiving? I think Nebraska fans love Scott Frost so much that they're willing to tolerate anything. It's as if he can do no wrong.

He is a man of incredible integrity and determination. He is not going to turn a horrible program around in one season. That's just asinine. I truly believe given time frost will turn into one of the best coaches in husker history.

There should be a separate thread containing famous VT quotes for posterity and for future shaming and embarrassment.

Fortunately, Minnesota is their next game. The 10 game losing streak ends.

Fortunately, Minnesota is their next game. The 10 game losing streak ends. Minnesota looked good against Ohio State. OSU is lucky they have the QB they do or they would have lost.
