Wow, what a day yesterday. About 100 lettermen were waiting to surprise Scott Frost at the Press Conference, chokes me up just thinking about it. It couldn't be a more natural fit, textbook. Scott Frost is going to lead Nebraska to where we once were. He was born here, he played here, he knows the culture, his passion is palpable, and he has a clear vision. So exciting to watch unfold.
He said he met with the players and told them to have a nice holiday, but come January, get ready for work. I have always felt we became soft, not as urgent, it started after firing Solich in late 90s and they slowly grew to where we are today.
Hard work, consistency, and positive attitude will take them a long way, with an emphasis on hard work. GO BIG RED!

I loved watching Frost play the option back in the day. I'm not sure he's the answer. Actually, I don't have the answer either.
I'm calling it: Scott Frost coaches for 4 years and then, he'll be fired or asked to resign.

I'm feeling different about this. That's why he got a 7 yr contract. They know he needs time and will be patient. He's focused, hungry, and feeling it. I think he does well for many years (10 to 20), and then get fired. :/

It's not like the Michigans, Ohio States, Wisconsins, and Penn States will all of a sudden suck just because Scott Frost was hired at Nebraska.
By the way, when did the B1G drop the stupid Legends and Leaders division names?

By the way, when did the B1G drop the stupid Legends and Leaders division names? While you're correct, it should be noted as well that all the CFU opponents didn't "all of a sudden suck" when SF was hired there a couple years ago. Winless to undefeated in two seasons is quite an accomplishment. I'm not at all suggesting that will happen at NE, but I'm quite confident the Huskers will be a great deal more competitive next year than they were in 2017.

Was an assistant coach at UNI for a couple years, so I'll be pulling for him. (actually, I doubt I'll really pay any more attention to FBS football than I do now, but I may occasionally check in on Nebraska to see how Frost is doing)

I think Frost is going to be fine after he gets a couple of good recruiting classes. He took UCF from 0-12 to 12-0 in 2 years.
The man can coach football, and as a native son, he's going to get some love.

I saw a sign about a month ago on a gas station. I read," Scott Frost nipping at your nose." Good prediction.

I think Frost has shown he has a very good football mind, particularly during his stints at Oregon and UCF. His biggest challenge is the recruiting trail. Nebraska currently just doesn't have the quality and depth of athletes compared to Ohio State, PSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin etc. Going to take some time to build that program into a contender.
A little trivia: As a college and NFL player, Frost played under four head coaches: Bill Walsh, Tom Osborne, Bill Parcells, and Bill Belichick. Think he might have picked up a tip or two from that group?

Riley did a lot of damage to the program in 3 years. One couldn’t do much worse unless you really try to. From the very first game Riley coached (BYU) I knew we were in trouble when we inexplicably gave the game away. I didn’t like his hiring in the first place and I’m glad all the culprits (Chancellor, Athletic Directior, Head Coach) of our demise are gone.
I am thrilled to have Scott Frost come back and let’s get back to winning and physical football!

"Five pairs of shoes, a signed UCF helmet and other memorabilia with a total value of approximately $50,000 were still believed to be missing as the investigation took shape." Hopefully their defense has as many takeaways as this 17-year-old girl.
