Nope. But it won’t be Scott Frost.

The only sure thing in life is that Gopher football will always disappoint.

Nope. But it won’t be Scott Frost. Give him a few years and I bet you $100 he'll be in the mix.

In the final four? Good luck with that. It’s not easy to switch sports, but I suppose he could try.

Speaking of Minnesota, did you know Bret Favre's last game as an NFL player was at the University of Minnesota stadium? The HHH Dome had collapsed that season. Also, Favre suffered a concussion in that game and that was the end of his career.

Remember that Super Bowl commercial where people dressed in business suits walked single file over a cliff just blindly following each other?

Frost has the longest leash...ever. All of Frost's predecessors from 1998 (Frank Solich) had much better year-by-year records. Even the much-maligned Bill Callahan. (The sole exception being Mike Riley's final year at 4-8, which matches Frost's best record in a given year.) I don't think Nebraska's going to do better than eek out a 5-7 season every year from now on. At some point, there'll be a press conference by Nebraska's AD where he'll announce that Frost has decided to resign so that he can spend more time with his family.

Urban Meyer is available, but with this latest move, RED doesn't seem interested. BTW, there's a rumor USC might pursue him if Helton doesn't right the ship.

Speaking of red...
Isn't it funny that Wisconsin's school color is red and back in the 1950s, Wisconsin's own Joe McCarthy used to say stupid things like, "Better dead than red." LOL!

The trend is not exactly RED's friend, but the season is not over. There is a chance for a win this weekend against another team that is having "issues". Follow that with a win over Iowa, and you are bowl eligible.
