I think it would be awfully risky. Only 1 year of experience on the women's side?....I wonder if Cook will put the part about 3 year commitment in bold for next hire if true lol. I think Cook would welcome it. I'm sure hed love to keep Tyler, but having your last 3 ACs coaching at USC, Illinois, and Louisville? That would be a huge feather in John's cap.

Maybe they worked out a trade. Tyler for Lanier. I'm thinking that would be a sweet deal for NE.

Is this all this Lanier talk anything more than wishful thinking and previous connection to Stivrins or does anyone actually have insight to her wanting more than her situation at USC? Asking because I'm genuinely curious as a fellow B1G fan.

Khalia to Nebraska or Creighton would make me happy and seem like a good fit. Nebraska may give her the best chance to become the best passer she can be. As much as I hate the idea and would not want to see Lanier in Nebraska, for the future of the US team you have a great point. Given what Barnwarth did this year to Nebraska's backrow, she could make Lanier the OH the US has needed.

There is this:
But that's what anyone would say (just look at the Frost situation). We'll just have to wait til they announce before we know.

Let's try a different direction with the 2018 season discussion, anyone know anything about potential schedules? We know we host the Vert challenge, I assume we'll play Texas for sure and probably Florida. I believe we also play Creighton at CenturyLink this year (I think I read somewhere that Washington was making a return trip to Creighton this year, should add another team and make that an interesting tournament; just my wish). Then we have the Ameritas challenge in there somewhere. Maybe make a trip to Louisville for Kenzie's senior year?

Nebraska should do a tournament with Louisville and kentucky. Please. That's what I was thinking I know we already play Illinois in B1G...but how about a tourney with Louisville, Kentucky, and Illinois? : ) For what it's worth, I don't recall teams coached by former Husker assistants playing us in the non-con. Some coaches have a rule against playing former assistants but I don't know if Cook does that or not. Edited to add: We have played Iowa State in the non-con since we left for the B1G. CJL was never a Husker assistant but was an assistant under Cook at Wisconsin.

I think Nebraska could be playing Louisville since Louisville will not be participating in the ACC/B1G challenge next year, but I’m not sure if they’d be going to Louisville
