Awesome, you dislike the coaches there. We get it. Can we get back to discussing the the team instead of listening to you bash on the coaches?

We have been doing it,...so, where have you been? Just being yourself,...I know. I think we get your opinion of CAL POLY. Even after a 16-0 season in conference you are still set on bad mouthing CAL POLY,...LOL. And, that's alright. Because it really comes down to 'why we play the matches' .

Dude, what is with your all-upper-case-and-italicized spelling of CP? Everyone thinks it is weird, obsessive, plus more-than-a-little whack-job. Are you THAT MUCH of a wing nut for cow poly?

I think that's a good thing!!! actually hope they do well, I always do it's like if someone doesn't salivate about certain things, then it's bad-mouthing??

But, when a 'quality player' decides to go to a school/play intercollegiate athletics because their parents are alums,... it's a compliment not only to that institution, but, to the coaches and current players of that program. Just for your info, Taylor Nelson's brother, Darren, a 6'8 dude accepted an athletic scholarship from CAL POLY last year,...now is a starting pitcher.

You linked your own post, that I quoted, and tell me to "read more" ? UCLA won the national championship in 1964 and 1965. Lew Alcindor arrived at UCLA in 1966.

Coach Crosson I believe runs the offense,...equivalent to an OC in football. Coach Walters is in charge of the defense. Both played their college volleyball at non-BWC schools.

Jake, I believe your fellow posters were asking for some in-depth analysis or inside information. Anyone that watched 10 minutes of a Cal Poly match and took a look at their bio could come up with what you just posted. I guess we expected more since you present yourself as someone that has knowledge/insight regarding Cal Poly's volleyball program.

Alcinder's parents didn't go to ucla Wooden was a big reason alcinder went to ucla But comparing crosson to wooden is really silly Compare him to dan connors, Imo Connors gets more out of his players than crosson, Sam Gilbert was the single most influential person responsible for UCLA's success.

Well,...to be honest, I don't get up to SLO to watch matches like I did years ago. So, any insight on Sam Crosson is going to come from internet watching, listening and evaluating in my mind. Like I posted early, Jason Borchin seems to have moved on,...no longer shows up on web page. Who replaces him (getting pretty late now) will be key to keeping the chemistry of the team. The team's volunteer assist./mgr. has also departed. Wondering if any of the three players (Nelson-kinesiology major, Neiman-business major or Greisen-biology major) that graduated last season are interested.

Borchin is now the new Asst at Notre Dame. Any insights on his personal attributes, and what technical talents he brings to the program?
